On Jordan Elliott returning for one game...why!!!! He qualifies for a medical waiver (played in 3 games and none in the second half of the season). Would be a huge waste of a year of eligibility to have him come in for this game.
So I missed the conference. What was said?

The whole situation is embarrassing for everyone involved. At this point, they may feel compelled to keep him if he can win the next two games. Because a loss against TCU would mean ending the season on a low note and an easier decision and a loss to a bowl opponent would also mean ending the season on a low note and an easier decision. But if he wins out then they can at least say he had a winning season...

Ultimately, I think that was a big part of why you saw a lot of two steps forward, two steps back in Austin, and why a coach the team loves so much couldn't win big fast enough at UT.
Win big fast enough? We are in possibly the worst power 5 conference with talent? What's our conference record? How many conference games have we won big? Anyone who takes the UT job knows the expectations and that they will be given a chance.

This is true and i respect Tillman for saying that he wants to go to a better program.
