Nuggets are a better team. They will still win the series.
Lakers turned on the switch at the end when they needed it.
Can't wait for tomorrow and Thursday night for game 2.![]()
good game, but yeah freethrows killed them. Denver needed a 10 pt lead to pad the weirdness that happens at the end of games like these.
final play he went for a rebound and landed wrong coming down. Was when he shot free throws.
Denver's gotta feel like ... they should have won this game.
50 years of frustration, man.
50 years
Or it has felt like 50 years
It looked like he was holding his face
That's typical Nuggets play, so I wouldn't say the Lakers got away with anything.
They play like knuckleheads, and Billups disappears every conference finals.
I knew this was going to happen. You can't miss 10+ FTs and expect to win the game. The Nuggets should have won this game. The Lakers were able to take advantage of Denver's awful FT shooting, however.
By watching closely, you can see Kobe elbowing him and Jason Terry punching him the nuts.
He made a do entary about Kobe... and the Knicks blow.
Not really. They won't win many games playing like they did. They gutted out a win when they should have lost, but that won't win you a series.
hmm maybe I heard wrong..but regardless it was when he went up for a rebound at the end.
Predictable series about to begin:
Lakers will blowout Game 2 since they sucked in Game 1.
Nuggets will win Game 3 by a few points.
Lakers will win Game 4 by 1 or 2 points.
Lakers will close in Game 5.
Denver still looks like the better team to me in this series...I'm sticking to Nuggets in 6.
The Nuggets inability to close games will be the death of them.
They will not get a better chance to beat LAL at the Staples Center for the rest of this series.
GK had his coaching advantage for Game 1 and could not win. Now that Phil can make adjustments it's all over in LA.
Hopefully this series goes 7 games...it will make it that much easier for LeBron and the Cavs to FEAST on the soft, soft Lakers.
They fell behind by 13 early and were down 5 about halfway in the 4th. It wasn't a pretty win, but it avoided a bad situation for them.
