More often than not, they don't call a foul in the end. Kobe tends to pump fake a lot, sometimes to the point where he puts the defender into position to contest his shot when he could have an open look had he take it right away. The last shot taken is mostly a prayer anyway. Throw it up and hope it goes in. Bron can get off a better shot due to his size and jumping ability. You can't go wrong with Kobe either. Most people prefer Kobe; I don't mind either one.

Lakers still dont have enough killer instinct to close it out in Denver. This is going 7. And I think Denver will surprise the Lakers and win on their home court in Game 7. Denver knows they can win in LA, theyve won once and been in every game in LA so far...

Honestly, whichever team shows up will win. Denver has shown they can win in LA. Same for Lakers in Denver.

The pump fakes haven't been working for Kobe in these playoffs especially, but he's better at taking shots at odd angles IMO, especially fading away. Bron has more upper body strength, but Kobe follows through more consistently and has better touch on his shots....damn, now I'm finding myself sounding like one of the people in one those commercials comparing the two. I'm going to need to shower in holy water to wash away this filth. TO WITH BOTH OF THEM!!!

I think it's going 7 too, but Denver's achilles is the mental meltdown and the temptation to chuck....even Chauncey at times. They proven they can win in L.A., but it would take a lot of discipline to get it done in a close out game on the road.

I actually don't care for either of them, but I respect certain aspects of their games. LeBron must go down, and he must go down hard at all costs though.

Kobe never does anything right in your eyes huh?
How many times do I have to say Kobe is a top three player in the league and the best closer in the league? It's just hilarious that he acts like Kobe Fan by not admitting he has teammates capable of stepping up. Instead, he has to reiterate that it was his idea to "take a backseat" and "be a decoy".

The nuggets lost this game towards the end of the 3rd when they turned it over four times in a row, and went from a 7 point lead to a 5 point deficit, capped off by a bull offensive foul call on Nene for his 5th. Both of these teams played like horse tonight, Denver was just not good enough to overcome the ref crap, then turned it over and gave the Lakers full momentum.

Quite frankly, the bottom line is, Denver deserves to lose and be set back 10 years as a franchise, if they can't realize yet they are the superior team, and nothing but easy buckets happen when they drive the lane. Every time JR Smith drives the lane, good things happen. Every ing time. Yet he finds it necessary to chunk 3's with 20 seconds on the shot clock after a Laker TO.

    Baffling.

I neither like or hate them. But it's fun watching the two best players compete, especially in a close game. What do you mean Lebron must go down? You don't like him because of the media and league constantly talking about him? That's not his fault though. He's one amazing player and has delivered. All that's short is winning a championship but with better casts (preferrably another star or low post player) he can definitely do it.

I don't like the fact that he buys into his hype, created ridiculous front-running antics when he team started rolling, and gets away with a lot of illegal stuff? The media overhyping doesn't help matters much.

Like I said, I respect certain aspects of his game, but I'd prefer to see him go down rather than see him advance in the playoffs.

What antics are you referring to? I don't watch a lot of his games nor read about him.
He gets away with the crab dribble is what you mean by illegal? I'm not exactly sure on the definition of crab dribbling but I'm going to assume it's a form of traveling? It's expected that he gets away with a lot of stuff cause he's the new golden boy for the NBA. I don't like it either but that's not his fault. Blame the NBA. If anything's to hate, it's the NBA.

    1) The antics the Cavs started doing prior to game starts. You can google it for details.

    2) His travelling is the stuff of legends. The "Crab dribble" incident wasn't about this supposed dribble technique, it was about him travelling and doing it so often that he didn't realized the refs weren't looking at how he was holding the ball but how many steps he was taking without dribbling. Not to mention the arm/elbow hooks he uses to propel himself past defenders that are repeatedly cast aside as him just being strong in the upper body.

    3) When the commish began to talk about making changes to allow more steps after a player stops dribbling a little after the controversial "Crab dribble" incident, his response was, "Good. Now I can get my move back" or something to that effect. He isn't helping the cause.

lol I think I remember reading something about that. That was just ridiculous. I'm not defending him but hey, no one's perfect

If anyone is to blame and hate, it's Stern and the league and their lousy refs.

That's the thing, people act as if the guy can do no wrong though. On top of that, he's already tough enough to defend without allowing him to do basically whatever he wants....give him leeway on a bunch of calls and watchout!!! And I used to think no one in the league would ever get away with more than Shaq.

Lebron definitely has faults too. But I don't find him irritating. It can be annoying at times when he gets away with things but there's nothing we can do about it. I don't like him or do I hate him. I don't care much for him either. Only team I focus on are the Lakers.

I don't know if I hate KG more or the refs for their ridiculousness.

Understandable....when it comes down to it, I'm a Spurs fan. I may or may not develop rooting interests in the event they get knocked out of the playoffs or God FORBID some day not make it (hopefully that doesn't happen for decades), but the Spurs are my team. There are just certain players that you never want to see win rings. One of the main reasons I have acid reflux now is from years of praying the Lakers wouldn't win from 200-2002 after SA was out of it (didn't know who I disliked more: Shaq or Kobe). I didn't watch the finals last year or in 2006 because it was a "lesser of 2 evils" situation, but in both cases the lessers won out thankfully. Like I said, I respect certain aspects of LeBron's game, but if he won a championship the league might stop....just so his team's championship is the last one recorded in the books. I also hated seeing the Bulls win, couldn't stand Jordan. Thank God the Spurs have come through so many times for me, even after it appeared their runs were done.

One reason I don't want Lebron to win the championship is because of the league and media. Imagine how out of control the love fest will be once he wins and is officially crowned. And who knows how Lebron will turn out if he wins the championship. He could develop an arrogance like KG (not to the point of his) but I rather not find out. But if he can somehow win, all the more power to him.

The celebration would be prolonged well beyond the usual time frame on networks like ESPN; they aired a special on he and Kobe before the Conference Finals was even halfway done on either side, like this was a boxing event between the two perfectly lined up. The commercials are one thing, but a television special? I do think LeBron buys into the hype, but KG is the worst....he doesn't need hype to be an anus, it's just in him.

If the Cavs win, I have to just tip my hat (although) I might a bit depending on the manner in which they win. That said, I think/hope the series can either go 1 of 2 directions:

    1) End in Game 5 and look like the 2004 Finals where Detroit was clearly the better team and played as such on the road and at home even though the Lakers had "arguably" the player regarded as the best in the league.

    2) End in Game 6 and look like the 2007 1st round series between the Warriors and Mavs in which the Mavs were simply outmatched by the Warriors despite having the best record in the league and strongest HCA, and got lit up by a team (that also included Pietrus) that feasted off of 3 pointers.

    The Cavs to lose.

I did say in a thread a while back that this might possibly be the only year in the Kobe era that I wouldn't have as much of a problem with Kobe's team winning the le. The Lakers aren't celebrated as much as they were a few years back when everyone and their grandmama was on the bandwagon (if anything, more fans outside of L.A. dislike them for the inconsistent effort they bring from game-to-game), so them winning would be a bit more toned down than it has been in years past. The Magic are my last remaining rooting interest, but if they were to lose in the finals to the Lakers it wouldn't break my heart. Only team that would do that would be the Spurs, but I've never had to witness that because they've never lost in the finals, even when they were down big to Detroit in the closing minutes in Game 7 in 2005.

I have no problem with people rooting for or against the Lakers, just as long as they remain objective and unbiased.
