It was a crazy atmosphere from the start... In tivoli against Russia it was almost nothing against today. I can't imagine how it will be in Warsav (going there with my friends)

Thoughts:

-Overall good or great performance from everyone on the Slovenian team... Jagodnik seems to be the fan favourite hehe. He had some great great moves, true veteran.

-I am pleased Lakovič had a good game. He got abused on defence only in the opening few minutes and after that he played great defence. (mostly on V-Span)

- Spanoulis didn't show anything special. Sub-par performance by him.

- Shortanidis is a cool looking and a nice player allthough a turnover machine. Fun to watch him physically abuse Brezec He showed some fairplay when things got heated up.

-Our team as it was today won't miss Vujačič one bit. Even if he would go to Poland I don't see him getting any minutes or contributing more than the likes of Jagodnik and Samo Udrih.

-Zdovc seems to be settling down some rotations and the overall gameplan is starting to show. That can only be good news... He also seems to be more authorative with every game; thats how a coach must be.

-I PRAY TO THE BASKETBALL GODS THAT DRAGIČ IS HEALTHY!


With Smodiš in the mix as a leader this team has all the posibilites to reach for the medals... But his mental toughness and experience will be really needed.

Hopefully it was just precautionary....based on the little I know about his personality he doesn't seem like someone who is gonna sit out unless the injury is somewhat serious.

Well you can never know. But from where i was sitting everyone looked calm and noone put any attention to his knee so hopefully it was just a hit.

Kamnik, here's a post from the Slovenian Suns fan on another site:

"He started to complain about the pain on warm up and then after 5 minutes of playing felt a sharp pain and asked coach to come out, which I don't think he's ever done in his life. He was watching the 2nd half in civilian clothes with ice packs on his knee and was rushed to the hospital immediately after the game.

More will be known after the tests, but it's 11 PM here, so I'm afraid not before morning."

I've read all the articles about the game I could find, I listened to coach Zdovc's statement after the game when he addressed Dragic's injury. Nobody mentioned rushing Dragic to hospital after the game, so unless this slovenian fan has some inside info on the matter, I call BS.

Everyone knows our team and our coach are much smarter than Slovenia team and coach. Everyone in Greece knew we were going to let Slovenia win this game. It is strategy but these idiots from Slovenia are so far behind in basketball level that they can't even figure this out.

If we face them at Eurobasket we will beat them without any doubts at all. The only team Greece has to worry about is Spain and no one else.
