You can always voice your opinion but don't get too upset because that always comes with consequences. I didn't read most of the thread but if anyone called you a bigot its probably because you lead off the OP with a bigoted opinion.

I voiced my discomfort (while also questioning) and the like regarding sexuality and other things related to it. I knew going into this thread, there was a possibility that people would become upset about my opinions. I should have posted in the initial post a "don't take this offensive" type of thing, could have saved us a lot of time and toned down a bit some of the more earlier posts directed towards me.

Its always so odd to me that people put out a bigoted opinion then are upset when people call them bigots for it?

Where I live, it's a common thing to see gays walk around holding hands, holding each other, the like. It depends on the location of course (Movie Theaters, Carnivals, Malls, etc). It's an arbitrary thing when it comes to the comfort/discomfort that's associated with seeing such display. You're not discomforted by it, I am. I am not only discomforted, I'm disgusted tbh.

Gays think it's normal to condone sexual activities, I don't. I think that's the root of it all.

It worries me because at this rate, when my kids venture out into the real world with or without me, they'll lay witness to this type of display.

That worries me. I don't want my kids to begin to think it's okay for people to offer such public display of affection.

No one made you post your opinions on sexuals. No one made you say that you thought they didn't deserve to be accepted and no one told you to post that you thought they were disgusting. You took it upon yourself for god knows what reason to share those bigoted views with others.

But now that you have, either understand that they are bigoted and try a little introspection (which you definitely have time for if you're so concerned for how others live their lives) or don't. I really don't care either way. But at the very least, if thats what you really believe, don't cry about the flak you get for voluntarily expressing them.

I'm tired of the constant ting on equality, ting on people who just want to live the way they want to live. No one has the right to dictate the free will of any one else. Regardless of naturality, normality or historical relevance. I'm sick of people thinking they can legislate their morals over others simply because. I have no personal motive.
