Here is what seperates Avante from everybody else.
Jimmy "Peach Head" Douglas a red haired black cat is the only sprinter to ever beat Bob Hayes where Hayes never revenged that loss.
It was at the Florida state HS champs, Douglas beat Hayes in the 100 yard dash. But before the two ever hooked up again "Peach Head" was shot and killed in a gang related incident in Jacksonville. What might have been if "Peach Head" had lived.
I'm in Fresno at The West Coast Relays the next event on the track the JC 4x1 relay. While looking at the program.....San Francisco City College....Orenthal James Simpson.....ya don't forget a name like that, cat has a huge head.
I'm in Bakersfield the next event on the track the open 200m, but.....the rain is really coming down, pouring down, but there stands Jamaican/USC great Don Quarrie all alone and ready to run. They aren't going to run this race, but that didn't stop Quarrie. He just takes off and runs that 200m all alone in the rain, yep.....the crowd loved it.
Got a million of them.....
Speaking of Don Quarrie he won the Olympic 200m gold and ran a 19.8, even this legend couldn't compare to SFS.....HAHAHAHAHAHA~~~~~~~~~~

It was 1954 at the Cali State HS Champs. James Jackson from Alameda HS had never lost a 100 yard dash and neither had Delano's Leamon King. And both had tied the HS record at 9.4.
Due to injuries in 51, 52 and 53 the nations top two HS sprinters would FINALLY meet.
Media from all over the Nation were in Sacramento for this clash of the ans it was HUGE.
The tall lanky Leamon King had jogged to 10.1 and 9.9 in his heat and semi, the short muscular James Jackson cruised in both his races with smooth 10.2/10.0. Now the stage was set and there they stood, King in lane 4 Jackson in lane 5. Everyone in the stadium was on their feet, camera 's were flashing to the point of having to be told to cool it, a distraction.
The starter....runners come to your marks..........set.......BOOM~~~~~~
Jackson was as if he'd been shot out of a cannon, he was gone. No not really as the long lregged Leamon King began to gain, they ran side by side for a good 30 yards and at the tape..........??????
The watches were stopped in a new HS record of 9.3 but who won? After 15 minutes the officials still couldn't seperate the two, so after 20 minutes......a dead heat/a draw/a tie.
Leamon King would end up at Cal where he ran a WR 10.1 100m and a leg on our 1956 Olympic gold medal 4x1 team. James Jackson was never heard of again.....he just POOF~~~~~~~~

Raider RB's...Napolean Kaufman/Justin Fargas state champs at 100m
Bears WR Curtis Conway a state 100m champ as was Lions RB Javid Best.
Robert Woods the WR was number one in the nation in the 400m as a HSer.
WR Sammy Watkins a Florida State 200m champ.
Both Todd Gurley and Ezekial Elliott good HS hurdlers.
Terry Bradshaw was a National caliber javelin thrower while at La Tech.
Tyreek Hill ran a 20.14 200m in HS, that was the second fastest HS 200 ever at that time.
Randy Moss ran a few indoor meets while at Marshall, he actually won conference in the 60 and 200, ah........weak sprint conference.
