Poor Logan. He looked like Richard Nixon when he was in office, now with the beard he looks like Saddam Hussein. I don't think I saw James Cromwell in any of next week's previews, but this can't be the last we've seen of Ol' Man Bauer.

Last night's episode was pretty good, and they keep setting you up for the next one to come.

When Philip Bauer first told Jack and his sister-in-law to look out the window, I thought Josh was gonna be dead, dangling from a rope tied around his neck.

Then, when Jack was in his dad's control in the other building, I thought Phil was going to kill himself for some reason after he listened to Jack's little speech. Then, when Jack realized he escaped, I thought that the big silver phone was his gun and that he committed suicide by jumping off the building.

How did that old piece of snake run away?




And that Lennox guy, he deserved to get pistol whipped, I hated him from the start.

By the way, I think Old Balls Bauer looks like a skinnier version of Pop...both that white slicked back hair and ed up faces.

He was an alcoholic, but had been sober for 3 years. As you can tell, he is suffering from a severe bout of depression from giving the terrorist an arming device for the nukes. He calls himself a coward and such. I don't know what he was doing, but whatever it was, he couldn't go through with it.

I've got just one major gripe so far with this season. Why the does everyone have to talk so quietly? I'm constantly turning up the volume to hear what the they're saying and it's beginning to piss me off! Especially the new president, does every conversation he has need to be whispered for some reason?

Only a minor gripe, but it gets to me over time. Of course, I could just be losing my hearing as I get older.
