Don't I win anything?![]()
Ducks has made quite a name for himself. At one time he was the lovable re . Now he's just re ed.
You're Irish right?
You should talk...
SLOMOWNED
TP did fine but Manu sucked. He flopped so much as usual and ended getting the calls and no calls he wanted, no way Nuggs could stop that.
The Spurs definately arent a scary team anymore like 05 and 06. They barely beat the Nuggs team without Melo, with a hurting AI and bringing Jr back into the swing of things. Their D was good the 2nd but overall it wasn't the dominantion that people expect from the Spurs.
And what was up with Walton, at the beginning of the 4th qtr he said 'Bowen has done a fantastic job on AI tonight' wtf!?!
AI smoked Bowen and whoever else was on himBowen gets lit up every game now, which is also a change from the past.
The Nuggets team looked good for the 1st half and AI looked good for the whole game. The team just didnt have a decent 2nd option when it counted but JR will fill that role now he has had one game back and it will be deadly when Melo comes back.
We can't realy on a 5'5 midget to score 20 every night![]()
Anyway, holding onto 8th by a thread but the Nuggets will roll when Melo comes back and another 32-8 (like in 04-05) run would be nice![]()
good win Spurs, Pop had to be happier with the D late in the game.
We got ourselves a Bowen-hater.
Random Thoughts:
1. Manu is playing better over the last couple weeks than he did at any point last year.
2. Tony came out strong. But you can tell that hip is bothering him because I've never seen him miss that many layups. A healthy Tony could have gone for 40.
3. Tim still in Horry mode.
4. Nice defense by Bowen. He's never really guarded AI as much as he did tonight. Usually it's spot action but tonight he had him almost the whole game. Iverson still dominated, but Bowen did a good job of not letting him explode as much as he has in the past against San Antonio. Time to ice.
5. I can't stand Pop going to Finley when he needs a defensive stop. Why he does that I'll never know.
6. Bonner could solve a lot of problems. I like his defense lately and his midrange game is a lot better than in the past. If he can start hitting more of his fourth quarter threes, the Spurs may have found a player they can finish games with.
7. I must be getting immune to Beno because I didn't think he played thaaat bad. Just more of the same out of him.
8. The stats don't really show it but I thought the Spurs played very good defense. They only gave up 34 points in the second half to a team who just runs people out of the building at him. The second night of a back to back in Denver against the team with the fastest pace and the Spurs out play them in the fourth? Nice.
9. Outrebounding the Nuggets was a good sign. The Nuggets are a very good rebounding team. Props to Horry, Bonner and Manu for helping Tim on the boards. Oh and Pop must have cussed out Finley because Finley is actually trying to rebound the last couple games instead of giving up once a body is placed on him.
10. JR Smith was rusty but it would've been really nice to have him on the team. He actually drives the ball now and his defense is much improved. He's going to be scary good in a couple years.

And this is the guy Spurs fans look to for a scouting report on Elson?
Classic.
At least you guys have some real wars under your belt recently.
Actually, I'm AMERICAN.
u think Bowen did a good job on AI?![]()

I missed the game, but I'm psyched the Spurs won. They need every win. That being said, it annoys me that everyone is falling over each other praising Manu, as if he won the game by himself. From looking at the box score, Tony and Tim should be getting major props. Parker for his points, and Duncan for points and rebounds. Let's spread the love around, people! Manu is great, but you guys are overdoing it, IMO.
u know something is up when even Yahoo comments on the refs

Smith also didn't get many calls despite getting hammered in the lane a few times.![]()
Arnie Stapleton wrote the article. I'm sure you know he lives in Denver.
as good as tony played in the first quarter, we would've LOST the game without Manu's crunch time performance.
Timmy played kinda crummy.
He needs to pull his head out of his ass ASAP
As timvp said earlier, Manu playing better now than at any other point last season.
His FG% was sketchy, but he made the big plays when it mattered.
It's good to have him back and pumping life into this team
Of course, the Spurs never get favoured on calls![]()
It was blatantly obvious that JR, Nene, Eddie and even AI got hacked in the lane with no calls. Of course you wont see it but when it goes against you then you guys will complain (ala playoffs vs Mavs last year). Its just way it works with NBA fans.
Duncan got bailed out heaps but he just flatout sucks at the line
You had to watch the game, to see why the posts were naturally excited.
Box scores are always DECEIVING.
The energy Manu brings doesn't show up on paper.
Besides, everyone knows it's a team effort. There were key rebounds all around and Tim played great D. But even Tim knows that without Manu on the floor, I bet the game would have been closer and up for grabs, without those critical plays at the end. Get over it, Manu earns a lot of his props.
Next time, you might as well quote yourself. Same strength of argument NuGGeTs-FaN.
We need all of the big 3. The others ....eh
Or as Borat said We need the Big 3, the others -not too much"
i think he did as good a job as anyone could have, iverson hit a lot of very contested shots.
AI is very hard to defend even if Bowen is guarding, & harrassing him. If the Spurs will play the defense they are playing right now , maintain the lack of rbds as always, and we meet the Nuggets in the 1st round of the playoffs with a comebacking Anthony(obviously a lot lot better offensive player than in 2005), with a healthy Nene and Camby I don't know what the outcome would be.
the barry on barry interview was great too, i'm likin jon on the announcing team.
