I have read multiple people from different teams today blame their loss on the start time of the game. It is a lame excuse. Spurs won on MLK day the past 2 years. No one team has an advantage over the other when they are both playing at an unusual time. And Chicago is even in the same time zone as SA.
Thats fabulous. Its not an excuse, its a reason that people aren't going to take the loss too seriously. What the are they supposed to do, Ploto? Cry? Pine for Rasho? The Bulls won because they outplayed the Spurs, not because the game was early. No one said otherwise. The fact is that the Spurs get outplayed or play poorly in early games. Thats a standing trend.

    God damn.

I don't care what the stats say. The Spurs are good enough to win when they play poorly. I mean , they were good enoug to win 60+ games with Rasho on the roster. That should tell you something.

You know, it really is pretty pathetic that a bunch of men on a basketball forum can't discuss the actual topic at hand with some female so they resort to stupid snide remarks. You argue like a bunch of women.

Ploto, I have an almost off topic question. Were you ever a Spurs fan or were you just a Rasho fan? Were you a T'Wolves fan before Rasho came to SA?

    I'm just curious.

This isn't hte first time you bring up gender. What does it matter? Whats pathetic is someone who busts out a gender card. I've never seen anyf the other women on this board do it.

What is there to discuss? The Spurs lost because they shot poorly and didn't spread the floor. Ok?

To be quite honest, I "bought" what the Spurs fed to people year after year until I knew better. Now, I just know too many people who have worked for the Spurs. Ownership only cares about the bottom line.
You do realize this is a business, right?

I don't feel bad for anyone who makes $400,000 and above a year for playing or hiring people to play a child's game. That's just how I roll.

Only when that's the convenient line. When they want something, it's personal and a family.

Welcome to the real world. Just about any company you work for is going to be the same. Everybody is family, but in the end it's about money. That's why they call it work. Trading Malik wasn't personal. All of the guys loved him. Everybody liked Rasho too. Players know it's a business.

    Since you asked...

I am a long time Spurs fan. I have rented a hotel on the River for every parade. I battled to get tickets for the first Dome celebration- remember when you had to get tickets for it? I bought 25 tickets on the Club Level of the Alamodome for a birthday party.

To be quite honest, I "bought" what the Spurs fed to people year after year until I knew better. Now, I just know too many people who have worked for the Spurs. Ownership only cares about the bottom line. The en y of the "team" is just that- some corporate en y whose sole purpose is to make money for a bunch of people who already have more money than they know what to do with. And I mean that about all teams. It is the only thing "refreshing" about a Cuban- he spent a ton of money trying to win, and of course, he could afford it, but we don't need to take up a collection for anyone who owns an NBA team.

So, now I care about individual players and their families and not any one team. I want success for certain teams because I want that for certain players on those teams. I root for Toronto because Rasho is there. I root for Orlando because Hedo is there. Do I smile every time a Spurs fan pines for a long SF? I sure do because the fans wanted Hedo gone so bad. Do I smirk when Yao owns the Spurs- yes, I do, because fans wanted Rasho gone so bad, too. I feel bad for Manu because he's still busting his ass like there's no tomorrow while Tim and Rob play like they couldn't care less. People matter to me- not teams.
    Good people: Hedo, Rasho, Manu
    Bad people: Tim, Horry

    I get it.

Well, you took great pains to point out that Tim and Horry play like "they couldn't care less".

Beno plays like he's being paid off by the opposition.
