Oh yea, I can definitely see Belicheat say "Okay, guys. I don't want you to try to play in the first half. That's some overrated . I really don't care about trying to win. We'll just have to wait until the second half to try and win this. I don't intend on making any type of statement against an undefeated team. I hate how people always call me a genius. So, do me a favor? Have me look like a complete idiot in the first half and then turn it on."

I guess all coaches in the NFL don't really coach until the second half.

    There's genius in that.
Belicheat? That's re ed. But if that's what you Cowboy fans have to say to make yourselves feel good about he loss then that's ok.

Uh? why do you want to play a team again that just waxed your ass when your team isn't in the same league as them? If i was a cowboys fan i'd hope the steelers or Indy upsets NE to avoid watching Brady set superbowl records for TDs and Yards against that ty _allas secondary.
That's stupid. Why wouldn't you want to play the best team, particularly one that waxed you in the regular season? The Patriots lead the league in manufacturing disrespect and using it for motivation. Why shouldn't the Cowboys do the same thing?

I don't know what everybody else would say, but if you rooted for someone to upset the Suns in the playoffs to make it "easier for the Spurs" you'd never hear the end of it from me.

I feel great about the loss. The Cowboys started off terribly, made a ton of dumb mistakes, kicked a field goal instead of going for a touchdown and called a timeout that led to the last touchdown, allowing the loss to sting enough that the players will listen to the coaches. They've got three months to learn from this game; the first test is next week, and it's called "not having a letdown after a big game".

Jeez...this isn't OU or someone running up the score on NW Little sisters of the poor State. Its the NFL. I bleed blue and silver but my team got their asses handed to them. They couldn't stop Brady all day long. NE was the better team, you learn from this game and move on. No excuses.

That depends on what they decide to take from this game. Maybe they win the Super Bowl.

If you guys still had Parcells I would say maybe. I like Wade Phillips, but I can't see any team coached by him hoisting up the Lombardi trophy. I see him at best as a coordinator.

Why? What did you see in the game that makes you think they can't improve? Their secondary got beat up. They have one corner out and another on a bad wheel. They had a ton of penalties, two or three at critical times. They started off really slow.

Do you actually know anything about football? If you want to make Cowboys fans feel bad about this loss you might try to actually bring something with some substance to the discussion.

To be fair, Phillips is off to a better start even with Parcells' players.

I agree with that, as Wade seems kind of weak to me. Parcells really killed the penalty bug that plagued the Cowboys before he arrived, and it resulted in close losses turning into close wins. I've been waiting for that shoe to drop since Phillips took over, and it seemed to be okay until today. Maybe it was an aberration, maybe it's a sign of things to come. It's certainly not unfixable, though.

It certainly doesn't look like Parcells' conservative style fit the personnel they currently have, and with some polish they could be a factor. Time will tell if the team will continue to listen to Wade. I have my doubts.

He's a likeable guy. I think you guys have a shot as long as Phillips can keep the team together, and keep that psyco T.O happy. He had the right idea by throwing pressure at Brady. Roy Williams is killing you guys right now on defense with all those passes through the middle of the field. I like Terrance Newman. I can in actuality see you guys coming out of the NFC. If you guys can sure up your defense some you have a shot. To be honest I think you guys probably would have a better chance against NE than the Colts. The Colts are alot quicker on defense than NE is. The only team that you don;t wanna see is the Ravens in the SB. Then all of you guys hopes and dreams will be vanished in an instant.

    patriots have no class
there was no need for that touchdown with 19 seconds left in the game
THEY HAVE NO ING CLASS AND SHOULD Never BE COMPARED TO THE SPURS
AND I DO NOT LIKE THE COWBOYS

@ the 'boys getting the stomped out of them.
they stayed in the game for a long time, and penalties killed them. it was far from getting the stomped out of them.

If they didn't want that last TD scored on them, they should've stopped them.

I agree with most of that. If TO can't be a good teammate for an extended period of time it'll all come apart.

If the Cowboys' offense can figure out a way to have some time of possession in the first quarter, it'll help the defense to be fresher in the fourth quarter.

Most of those passes through the middle of the field that you referred to happened when Roy Williams was at the line of scrimmage pressuring the quarterback. He got beat for one long pass, but his coverage was very good. He did miss a rotation for one of the touchdowns, but I don't remember him missing a tackle which made his hits more effective. Considering the relative inexperience of Reeves, and the health of Newman, I was really impressed with the secondary. They could have been better, but not much, in my opinion. They were the part I was worried about.

The Ravens don't run three wide receivers. That's really the only flaw in the Cowboys' defense right now. The Colts or the Pats are going to be the big challenge. They aren't going to go 15-1 so they'll have other things exposed as the year goes on. It's all a matter of staying healthy and improving. I feel good about them.

Not to mention that Matt "The Savior" Shaub looked like David Carr.

For how bad the game started, the Boys made a nice go of it I thought. Henry being out hurt tremendously. The Boys will get better once they add the rest of their pieces, and should win the NFC.
Really though, when the is this coaching staff going to start Barber? Its so apparent that he is the better runner, and he needs to get the ball more than he does.
Boys got beat by a better team, doesnt mean they arent a good team themselves.

What happens in 3 months? A first round playoff exit?
Better than not getting to 500 every year
