They normally let these go on the other end of the court quite often though.
Screw it. I need to shut up about the refs now. I'm going to Wisky Dog's side now. Just play the game.
manu less then 30 minutes tonight
not bad pop

He played undisciplined in the 4th tonight. Sometimes even the best have lapses, but you have to be accountable. What would you say if Udoka got T'd up in the 4th and lost composure in a tight game? What did you say when Udoka did that earlier in the season? I remember a lot of "he has to keep his composure and play Spurs ball" talk when that happened. That goes for everyone.
As much as TD complains to the refs, I'm surprised he doesn't get more.
I don't like it when Tim es incessantly, but seriously, sometimes he needs to lay into the refs and get a technical to let them know what's up. Because apparently there are GUARDS in this league that average more free throw attempts than Duncan.
I thought he actually carried over the last game into this one. He played a pretty good 1st half but then he wasn't getting some calls and he really let his temper fly there. You could see him on the bench not really happy about the win because again he was pissed about his play. He'll bounce back though, he is coming off of stellar play for really the whole month of Jan and Feb.
I didn't see it as undisciplined.
He got hacked all night, he got no calls.
He got pissed and let the ref know.
I have no doubt that he knew what he was doing and the result it would bring.
He's got a right to stand up for himself. I've seen him do it countless times for his teammates.
If he'd been out of line Pop would have pulled him.
He stayed in the game, he stayed focused and played.
I don't remember the Udoka incident so I can't compare them.
But I give Duncan a of a lot more leeway than I give Udoka.
This is Duncan's team. He's earned the right to do anything he feels necessary to make his point.
He's been a model player in this league for over a decade. He doesn't have a reputation for flying off the handle.
Whether I agree with what he did or not I will never second guess him. He's been at the top of his game for a long time, he has the hardware to prove it. I believe he knows what he's doing out there.
Duncan is the epitomy of "keep your composure and play Spurs basketball."
The rule applies to everyone but it starts with Duncan. If he lays down and takes that what do his teammates think of him? The chances are they think he's a pussy who has no backbone. When he stands up for himself they can see his strength.
Most nights when he's beaten up with no calls he whines but lets it go. Tonight it got to him. I'm glad he let it out. When a player of his quality does something out of character people tend to take notice. I believe that will serve Duncan, and his team, well.
When you take a T with a lead in a close game in the 4th, it was undisciplined. The game had been called that way all game long, take the T in the 1st, 2nd, or even 3rd quarters. Don't take it in the 4th, if you hadn't made a point to get a T to "inspire" before then don't do it in crunch time.
You see it your way, I see it mine.
Agree to disagree.![]()
I'll agree that you're wrong
You're too ing kind.
You guys slay me.
It's so ing important that your opinion, that's opinion not fact, is right.
There's no room for discussion.
It's got to be an argument until you "own" someone.
Does that do your ego good? Is that what it's about?
You see it one way, I see it another.
I agree to disagree and move on but that isn't good enough for you.
It's "own" and be right or nothing.
Think whatever the you want to.
I've been here a long time.
Seen lots of your kind come and go.
What you think means nothing to me but I'll fight for your right to think it. And express it.
I guess you don't agree with that either.
Wow.
Sounded like he was joking around with you to me.
Somebody needs a Vicadin
Usually if someone is joking they use an emoticon to convey that.
And I don't do drugs.
Solid game all around by the Spurs...good win...way to go, guys!![]()
