Did you know Trump begged Russia and Saudi Arabia to cut oil production in 2020, Qhris?
Did you know Trump begged Russia and Saudi Arabia to cut oil production in 2020, Qhris?
Did you know that, Qhris?
Be a brave little girl and answer.
More like "uhhh...you want the Ukes to get Migs, fine...YOU do it. "
what would you have done?
I think it showed weakness and a crack in NATO. Poland shares a border with Russia and Belarus. They were willing to give the jets to Ukraine but didn't want it to look like a unilateral move. The US their pants when it was going to look like they were involved in sending the jets. We are already pouring offensive weapons into Ukraine. What's the difference between sending thousands of javelins and MPAD's and sending jets? Putin will definitely interpret it as weakness and it will embolden him to do more, knowing NATO will back down.
Russia has well over 200 Mig 29's alone. Twenty three Polish Migs weren't gonna be a huge advantage, but could at least help.
Well, this is more recent, tbh... back when Thread asked, that's what I heard.
Your eagerness to dunk on Democrats is tireless, that much is clear, but what would you have done?
It's super important that, strategically, NATO doesn't get involved unless one of their countries is attacked. This is probably why the Pentagon shut that down.
Has nothing to do with Putler. If Putler was really wanting to pick a fight with NATO, he would've invaded Estonia or Latvia, which are also border countries, close to Moscow, 1/20th the size of Ukraine and NATO countries.
You just don't give him an excuse to start that war, period. He suckered himself into this Ukraine mess, you don't want to distract from that.
The other thing you gotta think about is that with this invasion going like ing for him, he might actually be looking for an excuse to start with NATO. At this point he bet everything in Ukraine and lost, and we're not talking about a thoughtful and measured person here.
You have a problem reading? I would have let them have the jets exactly like we said we would. The sudden reversal was baffling and a sign of weakness that will only encourage Putin to pull more .
MARGARET BRENNAN: NATO has said none of its 30 members are willing to set up a no-fly zone. President Biden has been very clear he has no interest in that or combat troops. But what more can the United States do here? If, for instance, the Polish government, a NATO member, wants to send fighter jets, does that get a green light from the U.S., or are you afraid that that will escalate tension?
SECRETARY ANTONY BLINKEN: No, that — that gets a green light. In fact, we’re talking with our Polish friends right now about what we might be able to do to backfill their needs, if, in fact, they choose to provide these fighter jets to the Ukrainians. What can we do? How can we help to make sure that they get something to backfill the planes that they’re handing over to the Ukrainians? We’re in very active discussions with them about that. And then we backwards and stood in the way of it.[PENTAGON PRESS SECRETARY JOHN] KIRBY: I can’t speak for Polish leadership. But David, what we’ve said is that this will be a sovereign decision for a nation state to make. Whether it’s Poland or anybody else, that should they want to provide aircraft to the Ukrainian Air Force, that’s a sovereign decision that they can make. The United States is not going to stand in the way of that. There is — there was discussion about if a nation such as Poland were to do this, would there be a capacity for the United States to backfill those aircraft with American made aircraft? And what I can tell you is because I can only speak for the Department of Defense is that we are part of an interagency discussion to examine that possibility.
Did you forget that Poland is a part of NATO? We were all for it when Poland was gonna give them the jets.
Sums it up perfectly.
I feel a bit sorry for the children he raised. His words and behavior here really just indicate a rather nasty streak. I would be willing to bet there is a high likelihood they want little to do with him as an adult.
Apr 15th. Mark your calendars.
Thanks, spineless biden,,,,

what do you think Trump would've done differently?
You think he would attack Russia?
Perhaps, RG, it's like Dumper said; his ego is writing checks his body can't cash.

Don't conflate political with partisan.
I'm your huckleberry. That's just my game.
Of course, in your normal non-committal way, you want to bet on a likelihood, which cannot be proven.
I didn't forget, that's exactly what I'm telling you. That's why weapons supply have not gone via NATO, but through individual countries.
I don't have to mix them up, they mix up themselves... especially in these polarizing times.
Sure, there are partisan politics, but that doesn't make political discussion partisan. Otherwise we couldn't discuss politics in other countries where we have no personal interest or preferences. There's no agreed upon standards for right and wrong, it seems to be based purely on which team is committing the fouls. If that's the detail of the day, then Dale is the WMFWIC since he doesn't even slightly pretend to care about anything but which side benefits.
