Sounds like Wemby is heading back to America…for all those who were worried he was going to quit basketball and stay in China to be a monk

Is 10 days actually enough to learn a lot of what they're teaching? I would have thought something like 30 days would really get you in the zone/routine of what it's like to be a monk and help you learn/get more discipline. Glad he's coming back, though.

You gotta love seeing Wemby be proactive and be able to teach Branham and Wesley Chinese for their future careers.

It’s like when players go have a workout and a cup of coffee with Hakeem, and supposedly learn the dream shake.

It's probably not enough time to learn a lot of what the Monks teach but he probably picked up a small nugget of wisdom from being around them. He could have learned just some simple techniques from them on how to keep your composure in high pressure situations.

I guess he could have picked up some things that could be helpful to him in his playing, life and mindset. Glad you mentioned the "high pressure situations," as I'm hoping something he learned can help him exactly with that. Me personally, I would have stayed 30 days I think. I think you could learn a lot in that amount of time, but that's not for me to say for anyone else. Victor's smart and he can probably pick up things a lot quicker than the average person.

If wemby was at a point where he was ready…then the teaching was there.

10 days, 10 hours, it can happen…as the old zen saying goes; when the student is ready- the teacher will appear…
