Spurs showing out at Allstar weekend and spurstalk has to be salty af loll
Carrot Top McClung with all his props tbh![]()
Oh dunk contest is boring but the best dunker won. Feels like all star weekend has more commercial time than content time. It’s like watching 3 hours of commercials. That’s killing it as much as anything else.
I can't believe McClung fooled everyone on his way to a dunk champion three peat with the same gimmicky shtick.
It is fine the first time, but by the third time people should really realize he's doing the same only with different props around it, tbh.
It is also mind numbing how many people fail to realize the advantage in hang time that those pushoffs give him. Like, you wanna talk about his coordination and stuff like that, then be my guess, but don't talk about his "air time" as if that wasn't 50% enhanced by the gimmick.![]()
Turns out he's a player development coach for the T'Wolves. Not too shabby.
Another guy that knows what's up.
Love to see this, maybe it will mean whatever Blood Vendetta that Ja and the Grizzles have against us can come to an end![]()
Perhaps the bigger story Wemby and CP3 trying to cheat the skills contest.
was funny asf
That's the problem with the dunk contest. You can only dunk a basketball so many different ways.
That's why I want them to put bigs to dunk on instead of just free dunks.
I don’t think that’s accurate sir.
McClung is short with great hops. That really helps dunks that he does that are repeats of other dunkers still look cool. If McClung were 6’6, his dunks would be good, not great.
Castle brought very little emotion to the crowd. He did ok dunks, but did nothing to get the crowd behind him.
his tragic ass dunk contest was hilarious, "let me run the length of the court, oh no I ed it up, let me run it again, oh no, now i'm too tired to dunk because of all this running"
Knowing how professional dunkers work the whole reason for McClung's hoverboard was not for the spin, but because when they tried it in practice they didn't have enough height. So they needed something to give him that extra lift. The ladder was ing dumb he just held to ball in the rim.
Not Castle's fault the crowd wasn't into him, only the players understood the high degree of difficulty on his last dunk when he hit it first try, they didn't get it until the replay.
That was fun
skills challenge drama was ing hilarious and more people are talking about the DQ than the actual compe ion. Tbh i don’t even know who ended up winning.
10/10 imo, just hilarious
as for the dunk contest… wow i really did not expect that type of performance by Steph. I didn’t think he was built for the dunk contest but tbh this reminded me of iggy losing to robinson where gimmicks and showmanship trumped actual execution and degree of difficulty.
his first 2 dunks were solid and he got insane air on the second. Good enough to get past the first round. But the finals, WOW. The between legs off the made layup was really creative and imaginative, which to be able to say about a prop-less dunk in 2025 is impressive. And my god the behind the back dunk was legitimatey mind blowing especially upon replay.
but the voters enjoyed the push off dunks and props. Mcclung is a wild athlete and in the past 2 contests he did the push off twice and clean dunks twice. This time he did 4 push offs… felt kinda cheap. But the showmanship was great anyway.
Very fun Saturday. Hope we get the biggest all star upset of all time sunday. What a fun weekend tbh
Wemby just went out and said it was his idea to exploit the Skills Challenge loophole.

Skills Compe ion, Adam Silver: Take All-Star Weekend more seriously!
Also Adam Silver: The team that actually tries and exploits the rules in our re game is disqualified
To do that and then award the G League prop merchant over the pure dunker in the Dunk Contest was especially cooked.
Absolutely great thing Wemby and CP3 did. If you do not have to hit the shot then go. I was tellin it few years ago. What's the point of shooting in this contest?
Overall that's not a skills challenge. Those pass rings are bigger then Atlantic.
3pt contest was a disgrace.
SDC - I thought it's gonna be a big fail. And mostly it was. McC and Castle made it watchable. Buz and Jack should be kicked out of the NBA.
Yeah, good points. I don't love what they did, but if you don't have to hit the shot, it's not a real skills challenge. You should have to hit the shot. The NBA are the ones that made the stupid contest. Can't blame someone smart for exploiting it to show it's not a real skills challenge.
Hopefully that is why Victor wanted to do it, to show it needs changing.
I don’t think I would want to see McClung the 4th time. Castle should’ve won that by degree of difficulty and not by props.
Castle saved the league from a huge embarrassment, modern NBA players are so weak.
If not for Castle, it would've been a McClung showcase, pathetic.
Don't get me wrong, McClung deserves 50s for all of his dunks, but he's a professional dunker, not an NBA player.
They should either get 3 more of those and have a proper showcase or tell NBA players to get over themselves and actually get some at least somewhat respectable guys to compete.
