I didn't see the game, but Tony made no positive contributions in the play-by-play in the 4th and 0T, except for 1 jumper with 6 minutes left. That's a of a long time for an an All-star PG and #2 scorer to disappear while his team collapses and loses.

Maybe Pop told him to disappear and throw the ball to Tim and Manu?

A totally ed up game totally given away to an inferior team, just like the Cavs loss.

6-2 numerically sounds good (and it seems most fans can't see past the overall record), but ing up the last two games of the RRT is anti-momentum.

Superstar = rings, allstar, rap album, rap party during allstar weekend, oprah and a hollywood girlfriend....

ummm... he is definitely a superstar......

    now stfu.
ok, well Rasheed Wallace has a championship, and is an all-star. does that mean he is a superstar too? the rap album, party, oprah, and hollywood girlfriend has nothing to do with basketball, so im not sure how that qualifies him as a superstar in basketball. he has no business being in the rap industry. im willing to bet $1,000,000 that the rap album is garbage. if we are talking about popularity, then yes, he is a superstar. but thats not what im referring to.

    now stfu.

he said superstar, and i took it as that. he is not the only person i have heard call Tony Parker a superstar, who isnt even CLOSE to being a superstar.
since their is no set definition of superstar, then its your opinion not fact. An opinion that currently I happen to agree with. He is an all-star, and IMO if he continues to improve I think he will reach superstar status.

Did you hear the postgame at all?

Tony said that after the 3rd quarter that they wanted to run the ball thru Tim and Manu, and that there wasn't much he could do.

People assume that Tony disappears even when that's not the case.

yea, but i have no clue how someone can be considered a superstar, when they arent even the best player on their own team. hes not even the second best player on the Spurs. his stats certainly are not superstar statistics. sure, he has 2 rings, but so does derek fisher. now im not saying derek fisher is better than him, but the "rings" thing in basketball is somewhat overrated. the only kind of player where rings can truly attest to someone's greatness is a Quarterback in football. IMO, he has no business being called a superstar. i think it is insulting to other superstars that have worked a lot harder than he has to be great. he has had Tim Duncan his whole career. if i recall, Kevin Garnett never had someone to take all the heat off of him. Dirk has never had that guy to take all the heat off of him. Jordan CERTAINLY never had someone to take heat away from him. but Parker has both Duncan (who is arguably the greatest PF to play the game, and draws incredible amounts of attention away from Parker), and Ginobili.

Very true. I do think that while Parker is not the best player on his team, he is playing the best this season. I agree with you about the whole "not the best player on the team" angle. Scottie Pippen was referred to a superstar as well but definetly not the best player on his teams.

I think KG had his chance when he had Alien and Spree but he blew it.

i personally dont think pippen was a superstar either. he was an all-star level player, but that was it. i dont think he should be on the list of 50 greatest players. without Jordan, he would have just been another ordinary all-star.

Besides that, SPurs were in position to win and ... for as many reasons as we could find we were defeated.
