Same here. I used to telecommute 100% of the time, because all of the people I work with are scattered across the country and beyond. Then we got a new VP who decided that everyone had to come into the office no matter how little sense it made. So now I drive half an hour to an office without a single co-worker and consume the company's electricity, phone, space, internet, paper, toner, etc. etc. etc. ... and am less productive than I was working from home.

Not to mention there's no such thing as a "weather day" when you work from home ... unless the power goes out, but then again I have a UPS and a generator.

Jekka and Kori - Yeah, my friend's kid did the box of cookie dough fundraiser. It's neat, because you just pry out how ever many cookies you want, and bake them at 325 for 14 minutes.

I was just getting up to go put in some chocolate chunk fundraiser cookies and see if I had all of the ingredients to make a cheesecake.

Telecommuting rules! Sure you don't get ice or snow days, but you also don't have to make up that time later, work twice as hard later to catch up, or lose out on the pay like a lot of people. I generally get 3 days off a week anyways, so I don't mind at all.

My cousins did that fundraiser a few years ago - we had sugar and chocolate chip cookies for MONTHS. I may have to make a Starbucks run and have them heat up a cookie in the pretzel toaster now. Damn you.

Yeah I walked. It may have sleeted on my head, but I was protected by my NorthFace Venture HardS , so I would have never noticed.

We just went out for food and Starbucks. The sleet is getting bigger and heavier here. Its coming down at a good clip. The ice is picking up big time around here as well. The sleet picking up is a good sign for snow.
