Sherdog is very much a "what have you done for me lately" ranking which is a cool concept but we shall see if that holds up with Fedor.

Gonzaga beat CC, who was already above Couture and Sylvia on that list. Couture only beat Sylvia who was ranked low.
I don't like MMAWeekly's rankings. They had Matt Lindland as the #1 Middleweight... , the featherweight and lightweight rankings have this Japanese lust.
From ufcjunkie...
Ryan Shamrock, the 18-year-old son of UFC Hall of Famer Ken Shamrock, will make his MMA debut at an Aug. 25 show promoted by Ken Shamrock Promotions.
The event takes place at the Feather Falls Casino in Oroville, Calif., which played host to an earlier “Fight at the Falls” event that was promoted by Shamrock’s production company back in March.
Ryan, who trains with his father’s Lion’s Den team, is one of three sons that Ken had with his first wife, Tina. None of the major databases have an amateur record listed for the teenager.
I remember someone asked this before but i forgot, why is it that UFC.com and sherdog.com have different records on fighters? i know ufc.com doesnt update them very often because they still havent added the draw to o and rashad, but the ufc website has Matt Hammill at 5-0 and Sherdog at 3-0. Did Hammill beat jesse Forbes on TUF 1 finale?
Link is dead....hmmm
Anyway, for awhile the UFC refused to post records of fights not in the UFC. Stupid of them. I understand fighters who have never fought for them but not if the guy is under contract. Also, if you piss of Dana, your record gets removed. Its idiotic. But now they post non UFC records as long as you have had at leasts one fight for them.
So go with Sherdog. Its not 100% accurate but its as close as we can get for now. For people like Jeremy Horn who have a ton of fights stretching back you will find a different record on every site you go to.
I had a bad link posted....I removed it.
ok thanks for the clearance
UFC obsessively protect their name to an extreme degree.
Also note that Sherdog does not consider a win in K-1 (kick boxing) or things like Abu Dhabi(submission tourneys) a win either. Which is good because its not true MMA ....otherwise Mirko would have a ton more fights listed. Something like another 23 fights in K-1.
haha worst site ever

I think this sets up Chuck vs Silva as the "New Years" headliner ahead of Hughes-Serra on Dec 29th at UFC 79...
Give me Silva...unless Silva has to fight with Dana swinging from his nuts...then I think Chuck takes him...![]()
“As crazy as this sounds, this is the pinnacle of my seven year career in this company,” said UFC President Dana White. “I’m so excited to have this guy under contract. He grabbed my arm and looked me in the eyes like one of his pre-fight staredowns and he said ‘I’m gonna fight so good for you, you’re gonna see the best fights ever from Wanderlei Silva.”
“This guy is a real fighter,” said White. “He reminds me of Chuck Liddell, and he’s the kind of fighter that all fight fans love to see fight. He’s a gunslinger. He will get in harm’s way to inflict damage and pain. This guy comes out like a speeding train and never stops. He goes for the finish, he likes to knock people out, and I just think he’s going to bring so much excitement to the UFC, I feel like I’m going to jump out of my skin.”

LOL...the Silva video on UFC.com originally showed him punishing Rampage with knees. Now Rampage has mysteriously dissapeared from the video and it was replaced by Sakuraba footage...![]()
I'm surprised they cared enough to change it, considering how little they've cared to push or promote Rampage...
He's fighting on Sept 15th, so I know it is by then...I'm sure it doesn't matter for this grappling tourny...
Its still under the banner of combat sports though. The spirit of the rule still stands I would imagine.
Could be...I can't find dates for his suspsension, but it can't be up yet because 6 months from the date of his last fight is the 24th. Can't be any earlier than that...
The CSAC rulings after a suspension (like the rest) is merely a hearing to get your license back after a suspension and I don't think they will look to fondly on a suspended fighter doing anything involved with a compe ion. CSAC, NSAC and NJAC expect every fighter and every organization to obey their rulings like the mafia.
