Congratulations, Bruce. You are officially IN AMARE'S HEAD.
Welcome to the club, Amare. It's gettin' crowded in there, but I think Ray Allen might be looking to retire as president of the Bruce Bowen's In Your Head Club. Maybe you can take over.
Did Amare really say this? I'm starting to like this guy more and more. Man, not even Kobe is this much in love with himself.
Congratulations, Bruce. You are officially IN AMARE'S HEAD.

22 pages of this crap???
Look, Amare's a little hyper-sensitive about leg injuries right now - understandably. So cut him some slack.
With 4 days between games, stuff like this is bound to happen.
You can't have stars like me taken out by one-tool players like him.

"While Stoudemire would usually be chided for his loose tongue at such a precarious time in franchise history, he was the guy who went through all that rehabilitation, not us. He was the one who came back from microfracture surgery to play in all 82 games this season, and the more you see that play in slow motion, the more you realize the potential danger.
Stoudemire watched the replay many, many times. And by the end, it had made him "very, very, very upset."
This much is certain: While some Spurs will be livid and others won't care, these inflammatory comments will put Stoudemire in the spotlight and on display, where he most always shines. "
careful what you wish for guys. STAT is indeed a raging egoist and trash talker. He commented before the Laker's series that they would be dispatched with relative ease. A stupid, stupid thing to say, yet Amare seemed to thrive on the negative attention that statement gave him. I guess we'll see tomorrow whether his comments were boneheaded or just the ticket. They don't call him "the Beast" for nothing, and we all know that angering beasts is not a very smart thing to do.
[kobe called him "that gorilla in the middle"]
Cutting him some slack for defaming Bruce Bowen's and Manu Ginobili's name?
I would understand if there was at least some contact, but look at the videos and the pictures, there wasn't, and he went out and say people are dirty despite knowing full well that nothing has happened.
That, my friend, is the definition of being a coward.
Kobe was referring to his IQ.
I don't think he said it. It isn't a direct quote in the article and it was in italics. I am no grammar guru but I think it is just a line from the author, Dan Bickley, I could be wrong though. I had to look at a few times and hoped it wasn't a quote from Amare.
There was clearly contact. You can see when Bowen's foot makes contact with Amare's leg, and you can see that it hurt him in the awkward way that Amare goes up and the way he lands.
so when you read one page of a book i guess you know the entire story right?
Coward my ass. If Bowen and Ginobili's play style is "gamesmanship", then so is this.
It's a shot across the bow, nothing more. I'd argue that 22 pages of pissing and moaning about it is just as "cowardly".
Defamation? Gimme a break.
I seriously doubt that Bowen and Ginobili are as worried about their own reps as you guys are.
Bowen stuck his foot out there but the contact was incidential.
If anything these "dirty tactics" smell of desperation.
You know the Spurs are in trouble when they start tripping, grabbing, and holding just to stay in the game.
You mean NBA players don't spend hours going over pages and pages internet posts?I seriously doubt that Bowen and Ginobili are as worried about their own reps as you guys are.![]()
Are Suns fans trying to convince themselves that their team holds the upper-hand in this series at this point?
I realize that a lot of things can change in either direction over this weekend, but looking at the situation objectively, I don't know that the Spurs have any reason to feel desperation at this point. They weren't compe ive in Game 2, but that's a far cry from concluding that they have no chance to be compe ive in the remainder of the series and are somehow looking for any minor advantage that they can get based on a desperation to stay in the series.
If one were to buy all of the "Bowen is always dirty" arguments, I guess one would have to conclude that he's been playing with desperation during the handful of regular season games that are always raised in attempting to prove the reputation. I'm not sure that Bowen gets that up or down about any regular season games at this point. If anything, the historical "proof" would seem to cut against this asinine "desperation" argument.
Are you really that stupid? Do you realize you're looking at one FRAME? Since when has one frame told the whole story![]()
Did you ever stop to think (doubt it) that this ONE frame is AFTER Amare got kicked? Some of the homers here are dumber than dirt. Seriously.
Let me use some Spurs homer dip logic....
Bruce Bowen never kicked Wally Z in the face. The proof is right here. Look at this ONE FRAME. Bowen's foot is nowhere near his face.....

Wow, looks at all these stubborn whiners!!! 22 pages of useless whining refutes against a player. So tell me, who’s really whining??? My goodness! Look Bowen is a great defender no doubt about it, but his intensity gets the best of him and results him in intentional fouls that could lead to severe injuries. Of course his attempts never severely injured anyone to the point of ending a player’s career, but you have to understand the extent of his actions that could undoubtedly result in that situation. Does Amare have the right to say what he had to say?? Sure. Does it make him a whiner? Maybe. But lets look at it from this perspective, and you Spurs fans can stop being so hypocritical with your ever so annoying complaints. Amare has every right to be extra cautious about his legs considering he had two knee surgeries, he voiced his concern which should be said because Bowen has a certain reputation for his style of play which includes kicking his feet out so much (Ray Allen, Carter, etc). Maybe some are intentional (like Ray Allen’s incident or possibly Amares) or unintentional (like Carter’s incident or again possibly Amares), but who knows for sure. All I know is judging from past experiences from watching this guy play that he needs to be closely watched. Now would this happen to any of the Spurs players, you would feel the same way. Take for example Raja doing the same thing against Duncan. Amare expressed his views to the media and to the NBA to watch out for him simply because he feels that no one should deserve a career ending blow from a pesky player like Bowen, especially a player who came back strong from two knee surgeries.
the gay suns fans. I predict they will be MIA after game 3. es.
Trust me, if Bowen did anything that intentionally hurt Amare, the consequences would be severe.
Who elected Amare Stoudemire to be the sheriff of the floor? If he thought it was a problem, raise it to the league -- and not through the media -- and let the league take whatever action it deems necessary. Why isn't that enough? I actually find it amusing that so many of the NBA talking heads have spent the last 24 hours explaining how out of line Amare was with this complaint.
And, remarkably, like so many other "incidents" involving Bruce Bowen, the league felt that no disciplinary action was necessary. Again, I find it hard to believe that the league would have any particular interest in protecting Bruce Bowen and ignoring the valid complaints of its superstars.
sheriff of the floor? the guy just came back from being out of basketball for an entire year. hes obviously looking out for his own well being.. how selfish of him.
If a Suns player is injured during this series by Bowen, it's on Stern's head. There have been dozens of examples of this Bowen creep trying to undercut players to take them out. The league has had ample opportunities to send this guy packing. Bowen is indeed a wily mofo. Tough guys make a point of sending a message. Bowen does it on the sly. Like Duncan after a blatant foul he throws up his arms in disbelief. He's like Sylveser caught with tweety in his maw. As a longtime NBA fan, he's the dirtiest, most de able player I've ever seen.
If STAT or Steve get injured by Bowen, Stern should be fired.
Tell it to the league, leave it out of the media.
Well that poses a problem too. If he just raised it through the league, it would eventually go through the media anyways and all this mumbo jumbo would still go on. He just saved time by going through the media, not to mention there were questions on why he landed so awkwardly during the incident. So technically he wasn't the one who really instigated it.Who elected Amare Stoudemire to be the sheriff of the floor? If he thought it was a problem, raise it to the league -- and not through the media -- and let the league take whatever action it deems necessary.
is there a re emote on here?
But the more shocking thing is that NOBODY was able to show a picture of Amare actually being kicked.
The MOST shocking thing though, is Stoudemire didn't even know he was kicked until he saw it on tape. I have never had that surgery before, but I didn't know that they have the sever the nerves to make it work.
