Everybody blocks Malik's shots three times on one possession, that is nothing special.![]()
You weren't even born yet, but you're pretty close to right. Game 4 of the 1976 ABA Semifinals between the New York Nets and the San Antonio Spurs, was a strange game filled with fights and drama. SA lead 2 games to 1 in the best of 7. Early in the 2nd Quarter, George Karl and Brian Taylor got mixed up. Former Spur Rich Jones jumped in a bloodied both Karl, Allen Bristow, and Larry Kenon.
After everything settled down, the Spurs managed to grab a 1-point lead with less than 20 seconds to go. At that juncture, Jones (who had somehow avoided an ejection) missed a jumper. When George Gervin had the rebound, Taylor of the Nets stripped the ball away. Julius Erving picked up the loose ball, dunked it, and got the and-1, making a one point Spurs lead a 2-point Nets lead. Drucker was the official on the spot and he made no call on Taylor's strip. The Spurs argued that Taylor was standing out of bounds when he made the strip, and replays showed that they were right. Instead of going up 3 games to 1, the Spurs were forced to go back to Long Island tied 2 a piece, and had to play without James Silas, who had broken an ankle.
Many still believe that Drucker's non-call cost the Spurs their first championship appearance, and might very well have cost them a le.

Tim Duncan blocked John "Hot Rod" Williams three times in one possession in his first playoff series.
Trivia Question:
What NBA player had the nickname of "Hot Plate"?
Yeah but what made it special is that they were teamates.
John Hot plate Williams
Just to get this one over with, the answer is Ski Jones (Askia Jones) who played some games with the T'Wolves in the mid-90's. He's the son of Wali Jones, who started at PG for the 1967 Sixers championship team.
FWIW -- Ski owns a 62 point game (including 45 in the second half, 28 of which came in the first 7 mintues of that half) in the 1994 NIT for Kansas State against Fresno State -- a game in which he hit an NCAA post-season record 14 three pointers, including 9 straight.

3.Name the first 3 players to finish the season ranked in the top 10 in 5 different statistical categories.
4.Name the last player to shoot 1000% from the field in an NBA finals game(minimum 7 shots)
5.Name the only 2 players in NBA history to lead all players in blocks pg and rebounds pg in a single postseason.
1. How many times have the Spurs swept a playoff series and what series were those?
2. How many times have the Spurs been swept in a playoff series and what series were those?
I'll just take a wild stab that David Robinson is a correct answer to each of those questions. I know David is a correct answer to questions 1 and 2; I suspect David is a correct answer to questions 3 and 5.
LOL perhaps...there are others as well...
1.Lemme think about it...I know we've swept Denver at least twice, LA, Portland....
2.I can think of 4 off hand...the Lakers 3 times, twice in the mid/late 80's, the 2001 WCF, and once by the Celtics.
And BTW, the only one of those questions to which Drob is the solo answer is #4.
Just thought of the Phoenix series from the year Drob injured his thumb.
I think that's it...
3 times by LA, twice in the 80's, the 2001 WCF, once by the Celts, and the Phoenix series where Drob was out...
Forgot the Grizz from last season...
So...Denver twice, once when DRob was a rookie, and once a long time ago in the 80's, LA 99, Port 99 and the Grizz last season.
1. DRob, Bird, Magic and Jabbar
2. Drob, Russell
3. DRob, Shaq and Dream
Drob is right Jim, Shaq and Hakeem are not...Drob was the 3rd man to do it...two others did it before...You can cheat on these questions by the way...they are hard to answer even if you do...
Which game of which Finals was that?
By my count, David never made 7 FG in any Finals game and his best shooting nights were both 6-8's against NJ in 2003 (Games 1 and 6).
From my research, here's DRob's Finals Shooting:
1999
Game 1: 3-10
Game 2: 5-8
Game 3: 6-12
Game 4: 6-15
Game 5: 5-14
2003
Game 1: 6-8
Game 2: 3-6
Game 3: 1-5
Game 4: 4-5
Game 5: 2-4
Game 6: 6-8
Pretty sure it was game 1 of the 2003 finals...let me get my link FWDT...you know it's possible I confused that game with game 1 of the Phoenix series...but let me make sure.
Actually, whottt, the answer to your question no. 4 is John Paxson, who was 8-8 in Game 2 of the 1991 Finals. Scott Wedman has the most shots made without a miss at 11, in Game 1 of the 1985 Finals.
. . . . and, yes, I did look it up:NBA Finals Shooting Records
My bad FWDT...it was game 1 of the Phoenix series where Drob went 8-8. I think he still might have been the last guy to do that though.
No biggie. I was surprised that I had forgotten such a performance by David. Then I found out that I hadn't forgotten it . . . .
I was relieved -- thought I might have lost my "Uber Spurs Nerd" card!!!
Yeah, unless someone did it last season, Drob was the last guy to do it in the playoffs(minimum 8 shots)...subs ute playoffs for finals...I just got it confused and probably should have rechecked it before I asked the question.
Last guy to do it in the playoffs...minimum 8 shots. Game 1 VS Phoenix in 03. Unless someone did it in the playoffs last year...
1. DRob, Bird, Magic and Jabbar
2. Drob, Russell
3. DRob, Shaq and Dream
4. Paxon
5. Drob and Shaq
Still pretty impressive he did it in the playoffs...
See he's not even in this yet...and I know he did it against Phoenix.Code:Highest FG Pct (min 8 made), Game 1.000 Wilt Chamberlain (9/9) LA Lakers at Atlanta 4/17/69 Tom Kozelko (8/8) Capital at New York 4/12/74 Larry McNeill (12/12) KC-Omaha vs Chicago 4/13/75 Scott Wedman (11/11) Boston vs LA Lakers 5/27/85 Brad Davis (8/8) Dallas at Utah 4/25/86 Bob Hansen (9/9) Utah vs Dallas 4/25/86 Robert Parish (8/8) Boston at Atlanta 5/16/88 John Paxson (8/8) Chicago vs LA Lakers 6/5/91 Horace Grant (8/8) Chicago vs Cleveland 5/13/93
Feel free to debunk my questions #1's and #2 as well, that's why I said people could cheat if they wanted...I kinda had to do that research myself and I am not entirely sure I am right about those...I'm about 99% certain I am right about #1...
