Beno Udrih is an abortion of an NBA player.
A sloth, purse-toting abortion.
Guess head-to-head Beno is still better than Tony.
Not only the points but a block on Finley, a steal of a classic Manu pass, and drawing the foul on Tim.
That was the aggressive, confident Beno that I have missed. I hope he can keep it up.

He played. He sucked. He was beat out by a man with no knees.
Do you know what showing up means?I'm the biggest Manu fan..but we need him to score more than 9 points against the Kings so no he didn't show up! 3-12 isn't a Manu game!
You can still show up while shooting like , as Manu did tonight.
Manu was disruptive, getting hands on loose balls, diving on the floor, hitting open teammates under the basket - he just couldn't shoot. The effort was there.
Tony, on the other hand...
I really don't understand why they didn't go into duncan more tonight. I mean, TD has always dominated Miller and Moore isn't going to stop him. Instead we jack up jumpers after jumpers.....Parker has to understand mismatches and get the ball to the right teammates, especially when neither he nor Gino could hit anything. TAKE what the defence gives you...and not force things.
good night.
Guess head-to-head Beno is still better than Tony. Now that was funny!
WTF was up with those Bricks Finley threw up early on. 1-2 okay, but 3+![]()
Lucky for him he hit clutch 3s at the end. :
yea i agree![]()
Seriously man. Manu didn't score 20 but he had great passes to Oberto and showed up on defense at the end.
What does Parker do when he doesn't score? Becomes invisible.
Manu > Parker
Where are the people who 3 weeks ago said that Beno did not even belong in the NBA? Where are the people who said he would never play in the NBA again after Minnesota cut him? Where are the people who swore no team wanted him?
I don't recall reading that. I think most people were surprised Minnesota let him go.
I missed the game but from the stats this looks like the game we've had coming a while - poor D and no good shooting to cover it up.
Heed this as a wake-up call Spurs - you cannot rely on offence to win. Get back to destroying teams with your D.
Don't you have some sheets to wash?
Jesus christ now ers in houston are even experts on the Spurs now
I'm not really disappointed for TP not showing tonight. I'd still take TP over Beno.
But I'd like to ask Pops why he chose Vaughn > Beno?
head-scratcher!![]()
Simple. Vaughn is not lazy. But I'd like to ask Pops why he chose Vaughn > Beno?
I'm raising my hand...![]()
Vaughn sucks. Period.
Where are they? I don't know where they are and I wasn't one of them, but I imagine that they're saying that one great game (Willie Burton) - or even a few (Flip Murray) doesn't mean much.Where are the people who 3 weeks ago said that Beno did not even belong in the NBA? Where are the people who said he would never play in the NBA again after Minnesota cut him? Where are the people who swore no team wanted him?
Well, that sucked. I left the game with about 5 minutes left in the 4th.
The Spurs managed to cut the lead to 7-8 and I thought they'd get the come back but they let the Kings do what they did all night again.
Udrih wanted this game and it showed. I don't ever remember him playing that well for the Spurs. It really hurt when Parker was having a game.
Ginobli's stats look better than he played. He never looked into it offensively but he had some sweet passes to Oberto. It's going to be a long night when Ginobli and Parker struggle scoring and the zone takes Duncan out of the game.
Bowen hit a couple nice shots and really pestered Martin all night long. I'm rather surprised he didn't play more minutes.
Finley continues to struggle shooting but it was funny listening to those around me when he hit those 3's. I didn't see it but the radio guy was talking about him hanging out in the Kings huddle. It wasn't a timeout but when the clock was out. He got a kick out of that.
The zone really messed with the Spurs. It hurt Duncan the most because he was abusing whoever inside.
I thought Udoka, Bonner, and Washington had some nice plays and brought hustle and energy when no one else was. Bonner still looks clueless on defense though. He missed so much that I wanted to pull my hair out.
Oberto is fun to watch around the basket. How do people lose him around there? He gets so many easy baskets it's a crime.
Besides Udrih, it was Moore and Miller that hurt the Spurs. Miller with open jumpers and nice passing and Moore was cutting to the basket and threw down some dunks.
I'm not too upset with the loss. Back-to-back night and the Spurs were bound to lay an egg sooner or later.
yeah,beno sucks...
I distinctly remember a long thread of Beno bashing in which several people said he sucked bad as a player and could never play big minutes at the NBA level. (Shoot, I might've even said something that could be interpreted as "Beno bashing".). But, I have to admit the guy is showing me up at this point. He sure is.
that lazy thing came out after Beno was traded. I never heard Pop talked about him being lazy while he was here.
well, I'm just weary PGs are hard to come by. And we had him here for so long, learned the system then we let him go and chose an aging one instead.
You think Vaughn is capable of delivering what TP can if any injury(knock on wood), happens to TP?
okay I think you'll just answer there's Manu or Brent. No need to answer![]()
That lazy thing never officially came out. It was self-evident to anyone closely observing the situation. The Spurs organization doesn't trash players publicly.that lazy thing came out after Beno was traded. I never heard Pop talked about him being lazy while he was here.
