Inside-out game is the key tonight. Gotta hit those open shots. Guys look like they're afraid to shoot out there.

Disagree. Four Down has resulted in a wide open shot virtually every time. The shooters just need to sack up and hit a couple.
As in the first game we have had wide open looks and not hit them. the shots are there but we're miising them. We hit those shots and the pressure is squarely on the Hornets. Our missisng shots has allowed them to stay in this game.

Can someone tell me WHY BOWEN IS PUTTING THE BALL OF THE FLOOR?!?!

He's there for defense and set 3's ONLY! He shouldn't dribble because he isn't a pull-up shooter. Someone make him stop trying to act like one!

The double is working on Tim because the Spurs' outside shooters aren't making the Hornets pay...if the Spurs start hitting those 3s, it will open up the middle and TP can go to work.
It didn't stop New Orleans from doubling in game 1 when we were 9-13 in the first half.

If we are going to play 4down then Byron is going to take Tim out of the equation and bet that our perimeter players can't beat him. So far he's looking smart. And if we don't either 1) get white hot from outside for four games or 2) make some adjustments, he's still going to be coaching in two weeks while Pop's going to be sipping wine.

That's another reason I want us to do something other than 4down. It plays right into the New Orleans defense, and we need to do something to get them out of their comfort zone and give our guys some easier looks.

Look at our shooters, they're all afraid to shoot except for Barry. They pump fake and look to pass.

I have no problem with 4down after they get into a rhythm. But the early misses have shaken their confidence and no one wants to pull the cord from deep.

Get them some easy buckets, get a little flow going, then you can unleash 4down when someone besides Barry has the confidence to step into a three pointer.
They HAVE easy baskets. Problem is they're hesitating shooting it and then are forced to take a tougher, contested shot.

Did you guys see Barry constantly passing up open 3's (and passing to Parker on the perimeter most of the time)? Parker ing passed one of them back and Barry finally got the idea and shot the damn ball.

Bruce's defense is key, but i think Pop should tell him unless you have a wide open corner 3, pass it.

Duncan isn't letting the double team stop him. He's going for the score before the double can happen and no one on Hornets can guard him 1-on-1.

    I'll take a 15 footer right now.

ALl we need to do is make a couple in a row and the fire will spread.

    I love The Coyote!

    meanwhile.

Hugo The Hornet is the baddest player in this series. The NBA has fined the mascot for causing a 19-minute disruption in Game 1 due to jumping through a ring of fire and damaging the court with conventional fire extinguishers. After the news hit New Orleans, all Hugo the Hornet bobbleheads and merchandise has been sold out.

Most of those shots we usually hit though. I like the 4 down right now, we get thsoe same shots in the 2nd half i like our chances

How the Spurs and Hornets begin the 3rd quarter is going to be imporant. I have a feeling Paul and West are going to come out super aggressive. Spurs need to be ready.

It wasn't his fault, the league should suspend all activities regarding rings of fire.

I've seen Barry and Finley pass up some open threes, and just pass it to Parker instead. We all know how good a shooter TP is throughout his career.

Hopefully the Spurs learned their lesson about third quarters vs. the Hornets after three blowouts. I don't know what more it could take.
