CoachSeahorn: Kyle Allen now following Jeff Traylor and Sterlin Gilbert? Hmmmm.
CoachSeahorn: Kyle Allen now following Jeff Traylor and Sterlin Gilbert? Hmmmm.
Out of all the QBs out there he is the one that makes the most sense to bring in. He is a of a passer and without looking he would be a great get with an unused redshirt and two years left.
uconn 40 pts in paint............ ridley = huge loss
Yeah, Ridley was a mega loss. UT athletics just feels cursed these days.
Understatement..1 player they could not lose. Oh well, time for freshman to grow up.
.
RB Darius Anderson of Richmond George Ranch received offers from Alabama and TCU today.
Barton Simmons, one of the national 24/7 guys, mentioned DE Andrew Fitzgerald as one of the the guys, that could move in to the 5-star range if he has a strong week at Semper Fidelis All-Star game.
He's a mid-range 3 star guy on Rivals. (27th at his position). That would be quite a jump.
Definitely. 24/7 has him as a 4-star (250th nationally), so for them it would be a jump of more than 200 spots. The other two guys Simmons mentions are DE Amani Bledsoe (471st nationally) and OT Robert Kraeling (221st nationally). All three guys that would have to make a HUGE jump. The highest ranked guy at the event is WR Theo Howard who is ranked 96th in the country.

Can't say that Charlie Strong doesn't know talent.
CB Eric Cuffee of Waco High will not be announcing his commitment at the Under Armour game on Saturday.
ESPN apparently doesn't have enough time slots. Whaley and Delance are a go.
It's a conspiracy to keep him in the SEC
Scout reporting QB Shane Buechele, WR Collin Johnson and LB DeMarco Boyd will be moving in on January 15th.
They'll be in Austin for the huge official visit weekend.
Relevant top Semper Fi bowl Day 1 performers, from national 247:
1. Andrew Fitzgerald: The Texas commit was a close second to Bledsoe on the defensive line. He dominated 1-on-1 drills, running around opposing lineman and even once running through one. He's set to play defensive end for the Longhorns, but the coaches have said he could eventually move inside to tackle. He has the frame to add good weight before he gets to Austin.
3. Marcel Southall: The 6-foot-3, 270-pound defensive tackle was a handful for the West guards and centers all day. He plays with great leverage and showed today why many of the top programs in the South and Southwest are going after him.
4. Isaiah Champbers: The 6-foot-4, 258-pound TCU commit was very good at his defensive end spot. He used a variety of moves to beat linemen in 1-on-1 drills and continued his strong play into full-team sets. He was specifically impressive in his awareness of finding the ball carrier and slowing down the run.
Finally, Texas commit Denzel Okafor had a solid day and looks the part at 6-foot-4, 295 pounds. He is likely going to slide inside to guard for Charlie Strong, and he looked very good at that spot today.
EJ Nightly Notes
Here are Wednesday's notes on Texas targets:
— I spoke to a source that said an influential family member playing a key role in the decision process does not want Cibolo Steele defensive end Mark Jackson to end up at Texas A&M, where he is currently committed. The four-star prospect will officially visit Oklahoma and Texas next month.
— A source well connected in Louisiana said he does in fact have reason to believe that Texas leads for McDonogh 35 (La.) defensive tackle Stephon Taylor. The four-star prospect has always had Texas in his Top 3, but moving up to the leader is huge. Taylor would be an important land at a position of need.
— According to 247Sports’ Alex Gleitman, Duncanville defensive tackle Marcel Southall will make official visits to Oklahoma State, Miami, and Ole Miss next month. Southall would then have one official visit remaining, meaning he could see Texas, but it would have to be during the week. Right now, Southall appears to be a long shot.
— As mentioned on the board, St. Augustine (La.) defensive tackle D’Andre Christmas-Giles is naming his top schools tomorrow. Texas, which hosted Christmas-Giles for an official visit this month, is a lock to make it. LSU and TCU are also high on his mind.
— George Ranch running back Darius Anderson picked up new offers from Alabama, TCU and Texas A&M. Anderson holds an offer from the Longhorns but hasn’t been in much contact with the staff.
RB Devwah Whaley
Schools: Arkansas, Texas, Georgia
Analysis: Whaley was once committed to Georgia and really loves the way the SEC produces backs, so despite some rumors he will stay home and play for Texas, I think he’s excited about the opportunity that presents itself at Arkansas. He pays great attention to the offensive scheme of teams and the Hawgs love to run the ball a ton, something he lists as a key to his decision.
Prediction: Arkansas
https://n.rivals.com/news/ua-game-co...nt-predictionsOL Jean Delance
Schools: Texas, Michigan, LSU, Alabama
Analysis: Delance, a former Oklahoma commit, has been up and down this week at Under Armour but he has good size and arm extension and is a raw prospect with a lot of size. He’s also a four-star that Texas needs to keep home, which makes me believe he’s been made a priority by the Longhorns and will choose them over Michigan.
Prediction: Texas
Inside Texas predicting Whaley to Arkansas as well.
OrangeBloods has him picking UT and Scout does too.
He said two days ago he's still visiting UT on the 16th, so that's an odd deal if he's going to Austin as an Arkansas commitment.
@Mark_Schlabach: Ugh. Reports: TCU QB Boykin arrested after bar fight https://t.co/1xalULaET0
