I like him, but I don't like him as a Spur. You also have to consider the personality/psychological aspects of players, and players who leave/are traded from the Lakers notoriously underperform ( [menton]HarlemHeat37 knows what's up here). It's like they get depressed or something being away from the LA glitz and glamor. Ingram seems the type to sulk while in San Antonio. I don't care what lip-service respect he'd pay to Pop and the organization, he'd grow restless at the lack of nightlife, celebrity connects, and the like, and it would translate to underwhelming on-court play.
    s
The Spurs better start bringing in guys with personalities and that are well liked around the league because if they can't recruit players to play with them, this team is going to muddle on the fringe of playoff contention for the next few years before a five or six year rebuild.

The Spurs better have a plan and they'd better stick to it. If they're going to rebuild, then dump the contracts of Pau, LMA and pity, load up on high ceiling young prospects and future draft picks and start the rebuild. Otherwise, don't clown around doubling down on a bunch of bit players with future potential if the goal is to win now. Make sure you bring in solid talent that can fill some voids/deficiencies in your lineup.

Once Lebron signs the Spurs lose a lot of leverage with LA. Which they might be fine with but hopefully they are using LA's desperation to get a better package from another team.

The FO did Kawhi wrong... Bottom line... Don't get mad at his reaction... Misdiagnosis... Mad at seeking second opinion... Public shade throwing and implying he is injured simply so he can play unhealthy to carry the old guys to the playoffs? Nah fam... U don't have the moral high ground... We KNOW what the FO has done wrong... Everything wrong said about Kawhi has been speculation... He isn't out here o Twitter throwing shade
You are cringeworthy, plain and simple..

I'm the only one who somehow doesn't want Ingram or impressed with him? Not because he's from the Lakers.
I mean even if given a chance to acquire him without trading Kawhi.

Dude's body frame looks small and thin. He's 6'9" but it doesn't look like it.
Doesn't look special. Not to mention he looks pitiful as Cameron Payne as well.

I wonder if Spurs could flip Kuzma and Lonzo for Porzingis. Unsure where he is from the injury. And i don't think he is fitting in NY. Spurs end up with a pre injured Porzingis and Ingram plus pick plus wanger. Not a bad hall.

Ruining the Lakers one more time would be cool. I don't give a about Kawhi anymore; just not on that team..

It would be the height of incompetence if PATFO come to LA rescue. You could see they are getting desperate. Probably got a word from Lebron camp that he wouldn't be signing there alone..

I don't wanna see that traitor in a Lakers uniform unless it's when he's a free agent and decides to sign there on his on free will. He doesn't deserve to say where he goes. I hope he loses out on $80 million for sitting out an entire season and then speaking bad about the organization.

You don't help L.A. create a super team. They don't have any players that come close to what Kawhi is when he's healthy. Ingram, Kuzma, Ball, and Hart are overrated because they play in L.A.
    +1 the fu.. truth

When you trade a superstar you NEVER NEVER get equal value. The most you can hope is to get a couple of good/promising players and a few picks/assets.

Honestly, I don't think the offers for Kawhi will get much better than Ingram, Kuzma, (Hart, Randle?) + picks.

No one will trade a superstar or a star for a one year rental of Kawhi. The Celtics are even doubting of trading Jaylen ing Brown for a Top-3 player.

I'm all for make Kawhi sit next season and lose another tens of millions, but you'd lose him for nothing and would be much harder to rebuild. I don't think that's the route the FO and Pop will take.

You get the best you can get, it's a business after all.

I'm with you on that. Also done with today's NBA if the Spurs act as the catalyst to build a Lakers superteam. This superteam era is in' .
Still can't get my head around it. So the man who was happy the basketball equivalent of the Soviet Union (ShaKobe Lakers) dissolved in 2004 and then asked for the league to have veto power on lopsided trades (Pau) in 2008 is now going to giftwrap them a path to a Superteam ..

I don't blame any Spurfan if they just bail on this team if this happens. It would definitely mean Pop and co. have lost the plot entirely.

If the Spurs somehow end up helping Lakers form their super team, getting peanuts in return for a franchise star, I'll have to think twice about continuing to support Spurs after more than 10 years of doing so. So sad.

KD (before he snaked), Harden, & Westbrook fit in OKC just fine.

Do you guys think Paul George opting out pretty much means he's gone from OKC?

I wouldn't mind doing a sign and trade with OKC. Send Kawhi there (they can rent a player for another year) for Paul George and then go for Lebron. Try and sell Lebron on teaming up with PG, LaMarcus and the young guns such as Dejounte and LW4.

The WOJ article indicates PG is still considering staying in OK, but LA is a possibility. Opting in would have meant he was staying for one year.

So, it appears PG has the option now of signing a max contract with either OK or LA. So I think he is just seeing what happens and is keeping his options open.

I don't know, I just figured that if he's going to stay in OKC that he'd opt in a give it one more year, that way he can bolt if it goes bad. I don't think he's opting out to sign a long-term contract in OKC. I could be wrong, maybe he really likes it there.

Not the best deal in the world, but not bad for the position the team found itself in 12 days ago.

A lot of the chatter around Randle seems to be in the 12-15 mil per range which seems low despite his lack of shooting. He's shown he can switch onto guards pretty well on the perimeter & was even their best rim protector last season (not saying much). I'd want him, Ingram & another prospect (not Kuzma, whatever they could get for ball). They won't be able to include him in S&T though, he'll want to explore what someone could actually pay him. Magic will have to call the 28 other teams before July 1 to see what he can get for Kuzma/Ball.

Yeah Randle is going to get paid less than Gasol or Mozgov.

I'd just love if the Spurs were completely trolling the Lakers (and ESPN) and either trade him East at the last minute, or sign him to the SuperMax at 12:01 A.M. on July 1.
