Connor Williams will be the first drafted OL since 2008 at Texas. Crazy.
I guess it's official now

I guess the staff has decided it's an urgent situation now.
Two notes on new JUCO offer Mikey Grandy from Inside Texas...
-he committed to San Jose State out high school, but didn't enroll because he wanted to train MMA.
-he will have four years to play three.
As far as a huge loss, my wild ass guess is Hemphill-Mapps based on some of the off-the-field issues he's had.
He'd play quite a bit, and then he was nowhere to be found.
He’s not a pedo apologist, so he’s got that going for him.
I don't know I just think he slumped and his ball control became questionable. In my opinion he's one of the die-hard Longhorns that just flat out loves being at UT, unlike some of the others.
I agree he loves UT, but I question his "alignment" with Herman and the staff.
He seemed to be in the doghouse frequently.
Herman and Coach Drayton will be in Carthage tonight to do an in-home with RB Keaontay Ingram, per Inside Texas.
Texas is going to get killed by the hard 25 limit, we probably could take 35 with all the attrition we are having.
Next season is looking pretty bleak right now, lets hope we can pull in a few offensive linemen and keep the guys we got.
Yeah, I'd lock that guy up too
The Football Brainiacs were told today that CB Holton Hill and S DeShon Elliott will enter the NFL Draft.
No surprise they absolutely balled this year. Hard to believe Deshon came up so quick with this being his first year as a starter. He earned it.
Any chance we give him a look after losing Deshon and would he even consider us? He can't transfer within SEC am I right?
Yeah.
This is a risk that they must take. School was pretty unimportant; having to navigate through rules and barriers, not so much in their world. Go pro, hope you make it, and don't get injured. Hope you got good people advising you. Hill is a kid I especially worry about. If something goes wrong, you fall back on what... Connor, he could easily renter school and get a degree and have in's.
There needs to be more ESPN 30/30s "where are they now.... ? " Football is an absolutely brutal business. It starts Freshman year for many of these kids. They get shunted into useless degreeville. The only hoops they have ever had to jump through are on a grass field.
Defenseless entertainment fodder.
Acchhh... At least they had a shot due to extraordinary physical talents I guess.
I know a linebacker now PH.D. Geologist from Stanford. He had a backup. And his cohorts tell me he is fantastic in his particular geological specialty.
Physical talent does not equal stupid.
Sorry for the illegal left turn.
His body left him as a tweener.
Hope he finds a school that can use his talents properly.
