    You just described the Pop music business in the US. Just like the movie industries releases some number of blockbusters each year, not because the movie intrinsically deserved to be made, but because it makes business sense from an investment/return perspective, the consuming public can support some number of pretty girls that can dance and have at least a rudimentary ability to stay on pitch. Kesha is one of 'em.

    Though it is annoying to have to sit through this when you just want to watch a few players from your team play in the ASG.
