Honestly, it's not even about Mahomes. Kansas City can score and beat you in so many ways. Like I said last week, the Chiefs would have won this game regardless of whether it was Mahomes or Henne at QB today.
I always said it from 2016 and their 12-4 season; "Kansas City Just Keeps Comin'". That game where they were down 17-0 on the road at Carolina in the third quarter and weaseled their way back in metholodically but steadily and won 20-17. That game where Atlanta blew the 28-9 lead at home against KC, where Eric Berry got a pick six AND a pick two in the same game. (A foreshadowing of Atlanta in that upcoming super bowl; side note.) Kansas City never quits, dies, or loses big games because of their fantastic scheme. Only the GOAT has been able to take down the Reid Chiefs in big games.
Kansas City just keeps coming. #KCJustKeepsComing . They just "find ways to win". No matter what. It's not about the QB. It's about the system. Let that set in.

No
The Chiefs went from being a pretender that nobody took serious to the undisputed best team in the league as soon as Mahomes took over.
To be fair though, he has changed dramatically. Especially with regards to being much more liberal on short 4th downs in the past couple years.
He had some truly atrocious game management moments that aren’t defensible. But I think his overall coaching ability was never questioned.
I don't disagree. But until Mahomes beats Brady in the Super Bowl, Brady is still my QB1 in the NFL. Rodgers is like Peyton Manning, just another great regular season QB who comes up short when it matters most; won one SB very early in his career with an uncapped salary roster full of defensive superstars on mercenary (one year, big money) type contracts.
Exactly. He went from being John Fox-esque conservative to shopping just short of Doug Pederson level aggressiveness, literally almost overnight, tbh.
Trash Tebow with the bone-headed decision to step out of bounds instead of throw it away.
I guess... I guess it's better than taking a sack?
Looks like it'll be overturned, but still dumb
It's not dumb if he knew what he was doing, tbh.
I would have gone for it, tbh. I'm not sure the FG accomplishes much.
Yes, sir. I wish my father were still around to see it. The past couple of season would've thrown him for a loop. Brady to TB? TB hosting a super bowl? Andy Reid with a chance to win a second le? What a life, man.
Kick the FG. KC has the tendency to play tight-anus football in second halves the past 8-10 games or so whilst trying to protect leads. Almost like as if they still had Alex Smith at QB, tbh.
Kicking a fg there?????
this game, gutless wonder coaching
It was a great season but the players should have ended it, not the coaches ffs.
congrats to Pats and Chiefs
Lol, game is FAR from over. You're down nine points. Nine. Chiefs have squandered (almost) worse this year. Long way of game to go.
Also KC's tendency to play conserva football in second halves has almost led to their demise all season long, especially second half of the season. They're a far cry from the 2018 team that just blew everyone out. They are vulnerable with that type of lead in the second half. I wouldn't be surprised if KC didn't score many points the rest of the game.
Its almost like he had a change from Alex Smith & Dwayne Bowe to Mahommes & Tyreek
its not the coaching, its the personnel
If yall think this game is over, youre mistaking
Mistaken**, but yes
Their O-Line has always been sketchy at best outside of RT Mitch Schwartz who has missed most of this season.
Reid has grown a pair. Look at their 4th down attempt rates this year and last year compared to before.
Lol. Too early to be chasing points.
