Hayward, Westbrick (Lakers would need to throw the Spurs at least their 2029 unprotected and a pick swap imo), Tobias Harris
isnt he the one who posted the pic of lean recently? what a dumbass![]()

So it didgo out an extra year then over what I was discussing with the Spurs at 28 over 6 years. Either way, thats actually a ridiculous amount of picks to acquire. I think theyre down 7 from just this year alone.
The 38 picks are just until 2028, but they might have more after that. Haven't looked that far into it.
A huge amount of picks is well and good, but Presti is going to actually have to do something with them. So far, his recent successes have come straightaway from tanking (Giddey, Holmgren). I think he blew this year's draft otherwise, although we'll see. After that, you just keep replacing players or you have to bundle them up and trade higher or for veteran players. Trading up isn't easy and finding the right vets isn't easy.
I'm not expecting this front office to get good deals for future picks.
Look at how incompetent they were with McDermott.
An over 30 role player for a non contending team. That same 42 million or whatever Presti would have turned into 3 first rounders. They'll be lucky to dump him for 2 seconds.
Might have been able to roll him for more if he wasnt hurt much of last year. His 3rd year is a TO, no?
Presti is smart enough to tank while having highly paid talent like SGA.
Meanwhile ...
Didn't Wright work with Fields? Wasn't he around?
After the Toronto buddy intern and Fields, seems like every one that worked with him knows how bad he is and just keep at him until he surrenders.
:
3 more first round picks that will leave us ? Awesome
Hmm, it looks like Murray makes like $50k too little to make allow this trade to happen right now (without other salary added in). The Spurs can take back $20.428 Million for just Murray's salary, but Gallo makes $20.475 Million. Ugh. This isn't like normal trade rules that allow up to a $100k grace to match salaries. It's $5 Million exactly.
Miles Bridges getting arrested (for a FELONY) certainly impacts this Charlotte FRP we just acquired. Maybe they'd be interested in John Collins to replace him and can lift their protections on this pick and make it a 3-team trade somehow?
If Bridges is suspended or something, maybe that makes the Hornets interested in Richardson or Keldon.
Hornets:
Poeltl
Richardson
Spurs:
Hayward
'25 first with mild protections
'23 pick top 5 protected instead of top 16
Yup - but I do have a little more confidence though that Gallo is only 11/13M guaranteed and not fully. That is a big deal to me
Patty coming back as PG depth and to make sure our locker room does not implode.
Not patty, Forbes ...
Keldon is officially better than Miles Bridges
I'd probably take Keldon over Bridges in a vacuum, say if both were available in a make believe expansion draft.
Keldon at a potential 4/$70m vs Bridges at the max? Give me Keldon all day.
They need to leverage this bridges news to get more from ATL
How do they not at least get Jalen Johnson in this crap trade? Or AJ Griffin?
Good lord
No one trades recent draftees. No one. And Jalen Johnson is a headcase who the Spurs don't want. The Spurs want to make their own picks.
Def not a nothing story when it comes to spurs owning the ‘23 FRP. Hopefully Wright is on top of it.
Idk about the reasons of Ayton problems with his team and Monty (or Sarver?), but in any case Imho it's a good idea starting a new wiew and era of our team rebuilding with a 23 year old center and first round pick around, for most, a lot of young people... Maxing Ayton for a five years period gives you a strong first step on our immediate future...
