Lol ou
Didn't realize UT and Okie State don't play this year
USC defense reminds me of the Manny Diaz era at Texas except even worse.
You would have been dying when K State was dropping clean interceptions in the first half.
I completely dont get the K State coach.
Malik was cooked, no confidence.
How was UT going to score a touchdown in overtime with Malik at QB at that point in the game?
Maybe he thought he had a bunch of good goaline plays when they were first down at the 5 yd line....?
In other words, I believe KSt. had a much higher probability of scoring a TD in overtime so just draw it out, take the FG on 4th down.
UT wont score a TD any series in OT.
K St. worried about their FG unit?
Does he have an explanation?
Edit: I recorded the game for viewing at night. I cant sit in front of a TV that long. I run through the commercials so I might have missed some explanation from the announcers as well.
I think, if you are talking about Deion, that he did not understand the importance of OL and DL play.
Too worried about the show positions, which they are good at.
Except Deion is sacrificing his son at QB. This younger Sanders is feeling the pressure so much its now got into his head. He has started to have convulsions in the pocket that collapses on him. Throw the damn ball out of bounds kid! And Quickly. Everything passing needs a degree of quick. You dont have time unless you scramble 59 yards straight back and run around endlessly like a street game. He has tried this and most of the time it does not turn out well now that they understand his tendencies.
I just see him quitting after his kids are done. Deion seems to go through too many highs and lows. Takes a mental toll. Get the damn cameras out of your locker room. That would be a start.

So we are gonna have a 2 loss team in the Big 12 Championship game? odds?
So thats odds that UT AND Ok St. go undefeated the rest of the way.
The Big 12 this season and the new fresh teams they have brought in?
Make up 4 of the bottom 5? Ouch...

It was a historically bad call to go for it on 4th down there (especially 4th and 5 when all they could really do is pass or QB sneak). I couldn't believe they tried but I was pleased when they did because I knew that was Texas' best chance to win. And give Texas defense credit for holding there. They had some shaky moments but stepped up.
He gone. USC fires defensive coordinator Alex Grinch today.
He is mud slow. He is a large human being who cannot accelerate well. If he is in an open field he can run in a straight line at a constant slower speed. On sneaks he might be able to get a yard via his mass falling forward.
Malik will need a wide open field. He had green acres ahead of him twice on an option and handed off.
No one on kstate was worried.
All black people are not fast. Manning would absolutely clobber him in a sprint, not even close. Quinn can actually change directions slightly in an open field and is faster. No one would ask this if Malik was white, he would be a large lumbering load. ( 3L)
Same D coordinator at OU he brought over? What was OUs huge problem? Defense.
I guess Riley wants the ball back quickly after the other team scores so he can put up huge offensive numbers.
Great win by Washington. OSU vs Michigan loser is nervous. Alabama won too

Dude should run for 2 yards then instead of chucking it to the other team
Maybe just throw the ball away out of the stadium with his arm strength.
An acquaintance of mine who absolutely loves the Aggie boards sent this to me.
It involved a discussion about Jimbos contract, but that is NOT the funny part.
This is so aggie so please read:
Nationally A&M now has a well earned repuation as a coaching destination where you go to get fat and happy, pile on some generational wealth and then fade into Bolivian after being fired with your huge buyout.
Sounds like Quinn Ewers is day-to-day. I don't want them to rush him back for TCU (unless he is like 90%+) even though we could use him.
"Bolivian"
I know...
And the thing is no one in the thread commented on it afterwards?
Rewatching the play it was a very good defensive set up.
They started out in what looked like press man to man, which was what the K State Qb said the play was called for.
UT Then switched to a tight zone, they disguised the defense. Ryan Watts #6 CB did a fantastic job of selling the man to man look.
You play the zone by giving the WR the inside or outside and another player pops into that position. On the goal line its usually involves taking away the outside and then looking for a guy trying to run behind a slant in going out wide. It worked really well. The 3 plays before that were outstanding, 2 of which UT correctly stopped the QB looking for the QB draw. It really was great defense. So got to give the D coord, PK, credit for that.
This game had a lot of coaching decisions in it. K State played man to man to start daring Malik to throw. And they did this with Worthy and AD Mitc as UT wide outs? that is guts. And K state got absolutely burned by Malik. Then they K state went back to the amorphous 3 safety look and Jefferson got very confused. This is where he was intercepted and K state dropped 3 more.
Its a tough call.
TCUs defense is not that good.
Especially their run D. But we have tried to pound the rock before early and it works for a while until the load the box.
Then we have to wait until the 4th quarter for the opponents defensive line to get totally exhausted. Meanwhile, the other team makes a comeback or stays close.
We are so inconsistent within a game.
It so amazing thinking back to the Alabama game and that ~7 min drive in the 4th quarter to end the game.
We actually had a 10 pt lead and rammed the ball down their throats and made their fans leave early in a night game in Tuscaloosa.
Not many teams have accomplished this.
