Word is he's been dealing with back spasm issues. They're one of the most debilitating injuries, to be fair.

I didn't really follow him closely at the time, and don't know when these issues began, but man, if Sacramento knew about his bad back before the trade... Genius move. I'll admit I didn't think they would ever win the trade, but if Hali doesn't get healthier, that contract's gonna blow.
It's weird his home numbers are good though: 20.8ppg, 46.2% FG, 39.2% 3FG. Is getting on a plane ing up his back?

It’s not like they don’t fly back to Indiana

I don't see them similar at all. CP3 makes every team he goes to way better. Westbrook makes them worse.
No similarities at all? You must be a closet laker fan. I was only speaking about how they have bounced around the league.’ Maybe you could explain how he personally made the Thunder worse? Then how did he personally make the Wizards even worse? I don’t remember hearing any of his teammates say he made the team worse, only some of the lakers may have trashed him, again with your lakers.

Man WTF happened to Haliburton? Dude is averaging 12.5ppg on 31.8% shooting with 22.7% shooting from the three in his 10 road games this season. Starting to look like Sacramento scammed the out of Indiana in that trade to get Sabonis.
He’s suffering from no Hield, who opened up their offense with his gravity.

    I won't say Hield was a non-factor, but that's just a bad take.
Haliburton looked like second coming of Harden at times before the injury with all those stepbacks, now he can't get any separation at all. Nothing to do with the rest of the rosster.

Honestly, with how ing random back issues can be, it might just be that home accommodations, extra time for pre-game preparation with the training staff, etc, are exactly what's helping him at home. We really aren't very privy to this sorta stuff.

However, having dealt with back issues in the past, I can tell you the slightest ing thing can trigger spasms out of the blue and you're instantly crippled. I was lucky - strengthening the core and back muscles, neglected due to an office job, solved my problem. But at the elite athlete level? It's not that easy at all.

I really hope it doesn't follow Hali the rest of his career, his game is very "swaggy" and confidence-dependent, and nothing like a recurring injury to sap your confidence and strength. Sucks to see. Pacers fans seem very worried also, reports of him with heat pads on the bench and stuff.

Yeah, the difference in his game is night and day. Exactly the way Ben Simmons' game fell off a cliff before his back issues became public knowledge.

He wrecked the Rockets too when they traded CP3 for him. He was likely a huge reason Durant left OKC.

A discussion about back problems on a Spurs board that doesn't include David Robinson? Blasphemy!

OK, CP3 improved the out of all but one team he went to. Westbrook on the other hand was a cancer in OKC, Houston, and on the Lakers and was empty stats in Washington while being a mixed bag on the Clippers.

Westbrook almost never contributes to winning basketball. I didn't think that was still debatable.

Jazz just beat the Knicks, gives our win even more value, they're not that bad.
Knicks need to change somethings, probably won't happen with Thibs. Can't play 8man rotation in regular season with starters all playing 35+ minutes.

Markkanen with 34 points on 15 shots, disgusting.

I spent 10 minutes more than I should have, but I can find no ways for us to jettison Collins, Keldon, Blake or BranHim to NYK (without knowing what they need, I'll just say they NEED one of those four guys). At least I tried.

the East is terrible, but I think the West is also not that special tbh. The Warriors are first and lost Klay while adding role players like Kyle Anderson. Buddy Hield was their biggest aquisition. Lakers only added Knecht. Nuggets lost KCP. Clippers lost PG and nephew can't play. Wolves lost KAT and replaced him with a worse version in Randle. Mavs added washed up Klay. Kings added DeRozan who basically adds nothing. Pels will have to waive Zion. Suns and Grizzlies don't look scary either and neither does OKC, although they are a good team. Rockets are nothing special.

I think we can easily make the playoffs, we've never even had all of our best players available yet.

Spurs are #13 in the NBA power rankings. When's the last time they were top half in any power ranking.

This Detroit team is still mostly bad, but they find themselves in some fun as games this year!
