I swear, if I end up buying Oblivion and I get hooked, I'm blaming all of you! I never even made it halfway through Morrowind.![]()
^Thanks baseline. Any other tips on bugs I can avoid playing the 360 version?
I still have to say overall it's been a fun game to play. I'm not much of an RPG guy, but this game has enough action elements so that's it has kept me into the game. Kind of reminds me of Jade Empire somewhat.
Any info is appreciated!![]()

^Trust me, you get oblivion and you can pretty much just kiss most of the free hours of your life away for a while. I'm not a big RPG guy, and also only made it a little way through Morrowwind, but this game has such stunning graphics along with action elements added into the game that I've gotten really hooked.
, I've played around 25 hours already and just now reminded myself to get back to the main quest! That's how much this game will suck you in. I guess the main complaint would be some of the bugs, even thought I had run into one until baseline gave me the heads up.
, just rent it for a few days to see if you like it first.
I have 100 hours in and the only two main storyline quests I've done are escaping the prison and shutting the oblivion gate at kvatch.![]()
San Angelo or Lubbock![]()

What other big city would be worthy of being portrayed?
We've had NYC, Miami, and LA. Who's next? Houston?
Well since they've had a East, West, and a southern city-if you want to call Miami that-then the next would have to be chicago or St.Louis maybe, but if they consider Miami an eastern city then maybe Houston or Atlanta
My dad just got FEAR from Target today cus he read a review on it in an article, before I start playing it, is this something I want to play at night or is that too freaky of a game experience?
Houston would be good, nice skyline. Good atmosphere. Chicago for the same reasons.
It's freaky, but you should be alright.![]()
Better be, I know I couldnt sleep the first night I played Resident Evil on PS all those years ago![]()
Hey, those zombie dogs jumping through the window were a reason for me not to sleep at night!
F.E.A.R. has you jumping at that isn't there. I was shooting shadows and jumping at the sound of a box falling. There's alot of tense moments like in the movies when the music gets crazy and then someone gets killed. Except in F.E.A.R., you're tense the whole time, waiting for to happen.
Kinda like showering in prison huh
uh, ok, I'll take your word for it.![]()
It's official:
Elite Xbox 360
Kinda sucks for anyone who just bought a Premium recently.
You get a 120 gb HDD and an HDMI cable plus the system and accessories for $479. That's $120 cheaper than the PS3 and you get a bigger hard drive and the HD cable. Pretty smart move by Microsoft.
I don't see any reason someone would buy a PS3 now, unless they're a diehard Sony backer. Supposedly Xbox will start having a Tivo-type service that'll make use of that 120GB harddrive.
At this price, you could get a Wii and an Elite for just a little over what a PS3 will run you.![]()
Microsoft sucks. thats why many ppl will buy ps3. does that xbox come with hddvd player or not yet? strange that it just says it can play dvd and upscale. weird.
I dont know which rock youve been living under, but Microsoft is burying Sony in this generation battle of the consoles, the HD-DVD for the 360 is a $200 add-on I believe, but so far MS has been realeasing le after le of great games whereas Sony has been all but stuck in the mud and resorted to giving people in Europe 46 inch plasma TVs to buy a Ps3![]()
200 extra? ripoff.
I do agree sony ed up cause there is no games for ps3. but lot of ppl are waiting and will buy ps3s. beleive me.
Yeah...I'm kind of mixed on the Elite...I bought my Box on day 1 and now to upgrade I'll have to s out some dough.....not fun...but I understand from a business sense. The casual gamer will have no problem with the premium box though. I do like the HDMI cables and the 120 g hd. Still, I may sell my premium and pick up the new black box. PS3...what, also with GTA4 coming to the box with rumours of Final Fantasy and the already Devil May cry series coming over....nice. Still, I love Oblivion, a true life stealer....
You have to be kidding right? I've seen shelves fully stocked, where are these people waiting? Wii's on the other hand are going fast, which is pretty sad since it was supposed to be #3 in the console wars.![]()
I'll be getting an Elite just so I can use my Premium as a back up or for my fiancee to play Tetris on. But supposedly there are some major restrictions on the data transfer from the 20GB to the 120GB.

Microsoft: Data From Two Xbox 360 HDDs Can't Be Combined On 120 GB Drive
In announcing the Japanese launch of the 120 GB Xbox 360 hard drive, a Microsoft Japan press release revealed some additional information about migration of content: most notably, that the data from two 20 GB drives cannot be combined onto one 120 GB drive.
This wouldn't be so bad had Microsoft's Aaron Greenberg not told gamers at the launch of Xbox Video Marketplace to go out and buy two drives:
At this point we’re not ready yet to roll out a bigger hard drive. I can tell you what people tell me they do to get around this. What they do is they put their Live account on a memory unit and then they have one hard drive that they put their games or related content on, and then they have another drive that they put their movies and TV on.
And so if you took Microsoft's advice on this, you're apparently screwed.
I've translated the pertinent part of the press release, which has a few more details about migrating content, after the jump.
You can only move data from the 20GB Hard Disk to the 120 GB Hard Disk. Transferring data in the other direction, or any other combination, is not possible.
Any data stored on the 120 GB hard disk will be automatically deleted.
Any data stored on the 20 GB hard disk will be automatically deleted after it is moved over.
You cannot put the data from two or more 20 GB hard disks onto one 120 GB hard disk. If you attempt to move multiple drives, only the last one you move will be stored.
Once you move the data over, it cannot be placed back on the original hard disk.
But I know there's a 3rd party that made a transfer system to manage your 360 files on your PC, so I'm sure they'll upgrade their software accordingly to get around this bump in the road.
