Really good show. Melinda is still the chosen one to me, but Jordin is starting to do really well too. I thought Blake was nothing special.
Melinda had always been my choice to win but for the past few weeks Jordin has been my favorite. She was really great tonight (as well as last week).
I usually like Blake but he was kind of boring tonight.I still would like him in the final 2 or 3.
I wouldn't mind if LaKisha went home.
What was the theme tonight?

Lakisha should be gone. She was bad for the second week in a row.
I don't know if anyone has said it either here or someplace else, but I think the judges don't care for Lakisha b/c she's fat! They seem to be setting her up to be eliminated. The last two weeks the judges have given her bleak reviews. I guess I don't have an ear for singing b/c I thought Lakisha sounded very good the last two weeks. Simon said she was shouting but to me Jordin was shouting also, even though I like Jordin and wouldn't mind her winning, but I couldn't tell the difference. Paula basically said she preferred Fantasia's version, but everytime I see Fantasia sing she's shouting her lungs off, in fact that's all she did in AI. Anyway these are my worst to best:
06. Chris - Can you say nasally?
05. Blake - Boring, weak vocals, better go back to beat boxing!
04. Phil - Good! One of his best performances!
03. Lakisha - I thought she sounded good. Being set up to go home tonight IMO!
02. Jordin - Amazing performance. Making things interesting down the stretch!
01. Melinda - WoW!! Just give her the trophy or whatever they get 'cause I think we have a winner!

On the contrary, from what I've read the judges are usually partial to large black women with lungs. However, I'm with you in saying Lakisha sounded pretty good to me too. I just think they are down on her right now. Phil or Chris need to go. Jordin's voice is different enough and she is young enough to give Melinda a serious challenge. As long as Melinda does a soul album, I'm one of the first in line.
I think the only down week she had was Latin week. Well I think she has sounded good.
We figured out halfway that nobody would go home tonight.
I think all the top 6 were in on it except for Jordin. Chris kind of gave her a look like "don't worry about it" right after they said he was safe. .

Makes sense to me, I guess. I thought it was kind of harsh to send someone home when they are trying to do all of this *feel good* stuff.
