Yeah but, if hes making his FTs, then you have to wonder, couldn't my defense get a stop and get a board instead of giving up 2?

I agree though the use of it has been awesome tonight.

    Lindsey lookin good so far.
It's not just about killing momentum/trading points, it also gives the big three time to rest.

When Shaq makes them though thats when he starts going, so its a fine line you walk.
I found it funny last game when Shaq made his hack-a-shaq points, but then missed the free throws when the Spurs weren't trying to foul him!

Stephen A smith was saying so in the half time show.
Stephen A Smith needs to kill himself.

For the good of the sport, and humanity as a whole.

Im not a huge baseball guy... but couldnt u relate Hack-a-Shaq to deliberately walking a big hitter during a game ... you see that alot of times with runners on base.

I dont see people crying foul over that.

It's amazing, no matter what you do, how one team can simply freakin' own you.

Picked a really crappy night to wager all my V-bucks on the Suns. First time I've ever gone all-in. Probably the last...

It's not like Pop calls for Hack-A-Shaq continuously...

Only when the Spurs are behind, ahead, or tied.
CIA Pop covering all bases. Keeps 'em guessing.

It's not just about killing momentum/trading points, it also gives the big three time to rest.

    I agree 100%.

Doesn't it stagnate the offense too though, no rebounds, outlets, run back at em quick offense and what not.

Shaq is just stewing at the foul line, you can see he is so pissed he is being forced to shoot so many.

I disagree. I think the Spurs should stop playing well. They should let it down. And stop fighting. They should go home, really.

    Remember Hack-a-Bowen?

    It's a legit strategy.

Like fouling when a team needs a 3 to win.

Yeah when they did it to Bonds there was some rumblings over how it was Bush league.

This is a TAD different, but I agree with your premise, it in effect is like walking Pujols to pitch to sheesh Skip Schumaker.

I disagree. The Spurs should come out like they did in 1Q of games 1 and 2. They should play with no focus, and lazily, and above all, play soft defense. As long as we score more points than Phoenix, we'll win.
Are you looking for fights tonight??

hack a shaq is awesome - there's no question about it - jalen is right, if you cant hit FTs you cant play bb. not hitting the FTs in professional basketball is equal to sucking big time and you are a liability.
Since when beign a "liability" means beign one of the most dominant players ever?

Eh, we had a lineup of Vaughn, Manu, Bowen, Thomas, and Udoka out there, and the other time was Tony, Manu, Bowen, Udoka, Horry. Don't exactly see us getting quick O on that all the time.

I'll admit it's cheap but it's a sound strategy. If the fat ass can't make his throws, why wouldn't you put him on the line over and over?

    TP, of course.

    19 pts, 7 assists.

    MVP again.
