Looks like DT Jayden Peevy of Bellaire is out for this weekend.
OrangeBloods says he was officially offered.
Thanks for this.
Really helpful.
We need DTs IMO and maybe DEs. Playing in the Big 12 they have got to play many more downs. We gotta be able to run them in and out.
Safety is a concern as well. And those DBs that are Juniors have got to improve. Bonney was starting by the end and he was slow as molasses.
RB. Thin. Foreman took a good bit of pounding last year. No way Warren lasts with that load.
And QB. Herman likes a guy who can run the ball. Unless Buechele gets physically stronger and faster, this is not him. So we rely on a true Freshman who could not stay on the field in HS... Don't see it.

Guys already on staff are almost always meh.
Its the newcomer, with a good prior season or from a very successful big program, that illicit excitement.
Pretty much.
Hines and Morris (recently offered) have also also reaffirmed their commitments to A&M.
But it's gattis tho.
I would have taken Gatti's over Ramen noodles any day.

Looks like we got our DC.
24/7 reporting JUCO CB Kendall Sheffield has eliminated Texas.
He'll be signing with A&M or Ohio State.
Per 24/7, Coach Giles stopped by Houston Heights yesterday to see 2018 CB Jalen Green.
He will be an offer assuming everything checks out.

Quotes from OL Walker Little after setting his commitment date and having an in-home with UT (24/7):
“At this point, I’ve visited all these schools,” Little said. “I’ve been there for games and for visits without games. I’ve met the coaches. I know what the schools have to offer. I have all the information I need to make a decision. I didn’t even think I was going to take it this far. It just felt like the right time.”
“With Texas having a new coaching staff, it threw a wrench in things,” Little said. “But getting to meet them, they were great. The personal relationship was similar to the last staff. Even though, I’ve only met them two or three times now, I felt pretty close to them. I know they can help me out and help me reach my goals.”
“I wanted to meet him (Herman) and get a feel for his vision for the program,” Little said. “He definitely felt like a family oriented guy. He felt like a guy that would be there for me if I needed him. He’s a high intensity coach that’s going to expect the best out of me. He said people were going to be accountable for each other and play for their brothers. That was something I was impressed by.”
“For me, it’s just the place that I think will make me the most successful on and off the field,” Little said. “There are a lot of parts to that — the people there, the football program, a place you can be happy and comfortable at, academics. I’m excited to make this decision.”
If this is the end of the DJ career, I hope he can start a new one at Texas.
Thanks for posting Tfloss! I think I need to improve my odds from this morning to 80-20 in favor of the good guys!
