Honestly, I think there's a pretty good chance that Fultz will bust and Miami will be a playoff team by 2021 (Spoelstra is good and Miami is always attractive to FAs). Also, Fultz would only add to Spurs' logjam of combo guards. With that said, I'd still prefer a trade with the Sixers for two reasons. One, the 2021 draft class could be really deep with it being the first year of HS prospects being allowed. Two, we don't give the Lakers a superteam.
Do we actually know what the Sixers have offered though? I imagine if reports come out that the Spurs and Sixers get in serious discussions that Ainge would be worried thus make a better offer.
