Or, ABC News?
LOL even Think Progress didn't know about it.

pretty much
A little article on abcnews.com that probably wasn't even linked on their front page.
OH... also,
Sorry man, I think the size of the average viewer to Huckabee is quite a bit larger tbh. Not exactly hard to get fat s to go buy a deep fried chicken sandwich.
I retract that statement, then![]()
I mean you actually give a about this enough to take a failed Facebook event and compare it against a days-long media blitz driving people to a chicken sandwich chain to show their support of free speech and traditional marriage.
Your "side" campaigned for people to line up in 100 degree heat for a chicken sandwich, and those people showed up in droves because they were told to. Meanwhile, the other "side" failed to show comparable interest in also showing up to a mass retail chain as a testament to their beliefs. Your "side" thinks this somehow qualifies as something to brag about.
And you don't even realize what a tool this makes you.
And, I heard about it from neither of those sources. In fact, I heard about it from the same places I heard about Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day; top and bottom of the hour newsbreaks on the radio station. ABC News, I believe.
I think it demonstrates a point, yeah. A few, in fact.
There is tremendous outrage over governments' threats to punish speech by withholding services.
There is just as much hypocrisy in the Democrat Party over the issue of whether or not they truly respect sexuals or are just pandering for their vote.
That same-sex opponents are vastly more likely to stand up and support someone with whom they agree than are same-sex proponents.
And, that gay activists are petty, vindictive, assholes that belittle fast food chain employees and homeless street preachers.
There wasn't a "media blitz," in fact is was pretty much ignored by the mainstream media.
What stopped the gay community from engaging in a "media blitz" of their own?
I didn't do it because I was told to, I did it because I believed it was an appropriate demonstration of the outrage over Emanuel's and Menino's government overreach.
The other claimed they were going to do the same at Starbucks. What does that say? Perhaps their position isn't as popular as they believe. Same-sex marriage has been skunked in 37 states when it came up for a popular vote.
I think it brought attention to the hypocrisy of Democrats. You can think what you want.
I don't believe for one minute that regular mainstream news radio was giving constant updates on Starbucks Appreciation Day. I WOULD believe that conservative news radio was doing updates about it because that's the kind of things their listeners get excited about. I don't think any news source heavily utilized by a gay and/or liberal audience was reporting heavily on Starbucks Day, and they certainly weren't outright PROMOTING IT like conservative news promoted CFA Day.
After you were told to.
Thanks to Fox News and Right Wing Radio you don't need "mainstream media" (as you define it) to create a media blitz.
Who says they should have? Not everyone measures their passion for civil rights issues by what kind of fast food they buy. What stopped the gay community from engaging in a "media blitz" of their own?
It says that Equally Wed Magazine is not as good at organizing retail-chain-focused demonstrations as Mike Huckabee and Fox News.I didn't do it because I was told to, I did it because I believed it was an appropriate demonstration of the outrage over Emanuel's and Menino's government overreach.

LOL @ Fox News and ClearChannel not being mainstream media.![]()
Exactly. They're the underdog grassroots heroes fighting to expose the truth above media juggernauts like Equally Wed Magazine's Official Facebook Page.
Man, NPR was all over Starbucks Day... Can't believe it didn't pick up more steam!
http://www.npr.org/search/index.php?...preciation+day
MSNBC.com had high-profile mentions of it in the coveted last paragraph of two articles about the CFA demonstrations.

Clearly the liberal media was pushing this hard and its failure must indicate that gay people don't actually care about gay rights. They'd all be Republicans if not for all of those felons voting all the time.
Is that you, Yoni?
No, there's tremendous outrage among nec
ns over the idea that gay people should be treated like regular citizens and given the same rights, tbh... the asshole mayors' strongarming of Chick-fil-A is a side issue that most reasonable people realize was a dumb move, tbh...
Believe it or not, I'm not opposed to, nor do I support, same-sex marriage. But, I feel the same about heterosexual marriage. I simply believe government has no business being involved in marriage at all. I opposed DOMA and I think laws to restrict personal, consensual associations are, and should be, uncons utional.
In the stories I heard, that caused me to become involved, the threats made by Menino and Emanuel were what drove me to participate. Did they mention Cathy's views? Yes but, in the context of Emanuel saying it meant Cathy didn't share Chicago values and, therefore, Chick-fil-A wasn't welcome there.
Emmanuel and Menino demonstrated well, the hypocrisy of the Democrat Party that panders to identy groups in an effort to drive a wedge into their opponents. Two months ago, Barack Obama opposed same-sex marriage, then he evolved. During the 2008 campaign, he ran, in part, on the position he believed marriage should be between one man and one woman. I don't remember any outrage from the gay community.
Rahm Emmanuel, on the same day he condemned Cathy, welcomed Louis Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam, into Chicago to help him patrol the violent streets of Chicago. Anyone know what Louis Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam believe and espouse about sexuality?
Mayor Menino, while outraged that Cathy would hold such a view, has no problem handing over $1.8 million dollars of taxpayer money to help build a mosque whose radical Imam once ruled on what is the best way to kill a sexual.
That's the Democrat hypocrisy I stood up against last Wednesday.
I think people should be free to spend their lives with whomever they choose. I also believe people should be able to have the freedom to specify whomever they like to be their representative, power of attorney, beneficiary of insurance and retirement accounts, etc...
What I don't favor is forcing private companies or churches to accept sexuality if it goes against their personal beliefs.
I don't know how I can be any clearer. I've said this before but, because I choose to demonstrate against naked government aggression and Democrat hypocrisy -- and that's what Menino and Emanuel did -- and, because you idiots continue to believe the protest was principally against gay marriage, I get tagged with the anti-gay marriage label.
For over a month, gay activist groups had been trying to get a boycott of Chick-fil-A off the ground. I don't recall any groundswell of opposition fighting back on Chick-fil-A's behalf. It wasn't until Menino and Emanuel suggested they would use their positions in government to punish Chick-fil-A that I even cared. , gays are boycotting all the time.
Were there people there that agreed with Cathy's view? Yes. Were there people there that didn't? Yes. Were there gays there protesting? Yep. I was with one. Having had an openly sexual relative have their first job at Chick-fil-A and seeing how they treat their employees, first hand, I know they are truly a Christian company that does not discriminate on the basis of sexual orientation.
That server that was harassed by Adam Smith at the drive-through window, confirmed this on television yesterday. When asked how she was able to maintain poise and professionalism in the face of Smith's tirade, she said Chick-fil-A trains all employees to treat every customer with dignity and respect. And, they do.
Emanuel and Menino's attempt to foment hate against an entire franchise, employing tens of thousands of people with every imaginable set of beliefs, under the sun, was reprehensible.
Chick-fil-A was swamped last Wednesday; and I, for one, am proud of Americans that made that happen. They ran out of product at the store close to my house at about 8:00 P.M. I was there for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and saw some of the same employees there all day. Not once did I see one that wasn't smiling and that wasn't respectful to everyone.
Regardless of what you think about Dan Cathy and what he does with the company's profits, his franchisees and employees are top notch. I know one personally and love her with all my heart.
Ditto to you, asshole.
Starbucks.
They are a de able business. They buy up their compe ion that actually is good so they an keep their prices high. My favorite Coffee shop is no more because of them, and Starbuck's coffee isn't as good.
Their coffee tastes like it's been strained through an ashtray. I avoid it, when I can, just because it tastes so bad.
I wonder how Starbucks has been successful when their coffee is so terrible.
Cream and sugar. Lots and lots of cream and sugar.
Pretty much what I was thinking.
That and wicked good marketing.
I mean, c'mon, it's just ing coffee. For less than ten bucks, I can have about a months worth and spend less time each day brewing it than I would waiting in line at Starbucks to pick it up.
It's not even a quick cup of coffee.
