Very good point, I hadn't considered that, but the only reason I say she is looking for the boat is the fact the she was able to track down Desmond, find out that he is doing the race, and is keeping a picture of him by his bed for the past three years even though I'm sure most people expect him to be dead.

that would piss me off too, but they can't just have Desmond, Eko, and Locke all be killed by the blast. Locke still has a lot to explain, as does Desmond. I think they are going to be fine. WTF is Charlie thinking? I know that Claire is trying to get the hook-up, but an explosion just occured during the day, and you are seen sitting there at night w/o going to check on what happened? I don't get it.

My current Vash island theory is.. it's ancient center of healing power.. like the fabled fountain of youth. Remember they took that lady down under to a healer and he spoke of other places that can heal. But not everyone works at such and such places..
Anyway... then you find this old slave ship named Black rock, a twin engine that's 10,000 miles off course with a 1000 mile range, a 777 1000 miles off course. Even to GPS, gyros, airspeed sensors, radar blah blah (impossible basically).
So going back in time what if the island is very very old and people have been trying to find it. Then DHARMA - Hanso finds island and builds the CVS (black light map)
Concrete Vaults. Swan is an electro mag that tries to hide the island's normal whacky electro magnetic field.
BEFORE this someone else evil like Mr Widmoore finds island too and kills off some of DHARMA and tries to steal the islands power for themself.
DHARMA itself could be just a sham trying to claim "scientific research" for a natural
power that can never be explained or duplicated because it's a unique place in the universe.
Jacks' "Others" .. Desmonds "Hostiles".. I think might be a group just following orders from Hanso or Widmoore.
Hanso must be the good guy.. cause Widmoore was a head in the limo scene.
I think Hanso is Sun's father... Jin was an organ collector for Hanso lol..

I am still fixated on the Heavy Water comments.. it's used for Nukes and MRI's .. and they had an episode where there was a sign MRI but it said "IMAGINING" instead of imaging.
That is way too much to go over. I like how the show is complicated and how you can't miss three weeks and pick right back up, but sometimes I think they try to put too much into what is essentially 45 mins of air time for a third of the year.Time to blow you minds again. lol.. I won't ruin the fun by telling you everything, but according to the hidden stuff, the leaders of the Hanso Foundation are not as nice as they seem.
My theory is that the "Others" are against Hanso, and have "recruited" Jack, Sawyer and Kate to fight with them. Why else would they take them now, when they've had plenty of chances to do this in the past?
How they will "convince" them remains to be seen....
My wife thinks the whole Island was build as a way to keep Desmond away from Mr Widmoore's daughter. I think that's a little much, but I wouldn't put it past him that's he's heavily involved, and knows where Desmond is...
I'm downloading the season finale now.. I need to watch it again. I missed a good portion of the show on Wednesday and after reading ya'lls posts.... I'm so confused.
