Can the Spurs even remotely afford Durant to begin with?

I think it’s Forbes. Him and Demar cannot be in the same. Demar needs the ball in his hands to establish early. While LMA needs White to feed him when Demar takes his first rest.

Pop's in game coaching is ing atrocious too. Playing Cunningham, not playing Bertans, not staggering White and DeRozan. Playing Mills, Forbes and Bellinelli all at once. Etc, etc, etc.
I especially liked his closing with no big wings/forwards, particularly against a team playing two of them.

Look, I've been ting on Pop for a while now (and I probably will continue to do so) but he was the reason for the 2014 championship. He pushed all the right buttons then and his drive was the reason for that ring.

But the game has clearly passed him by. It's not even a knock on him since he was supposed to go out with Timmy but soft ass Lamarcus had to beg him to stay.

Still a couple of seasons left until the Olympics so it's going to suck just watching him be terrible until then.
This is some Dex, raybies, coach-no-one-listens-to-my-podcast, etc. type . You're usually much better than this.

Wow sweet play. I missed that one.

Man, DeRozan is probably really missing his raptors a lot with having to play with our scrubs.

    Sucks

I'd be depressed too if I had to move from Toronto to South Texas and play with a bunch of scrubs led by a dictator in liberal clothing.

Do not want. Not Spurs material. No culture at all.

To prove he can take a team to the championship as the clear cut main guy? That's my only thought

Makes no sense. SA already has multiple les. Spurs winning another championship does nothing for Durant's legacy. Makes more sense to sign with a franchise that's never won a le before like the Nets or Clippers. You become the savior by bringing them a le for the first time in their history. Both are big market teams that have some interesting pieces too while San Antonio is a dung heap of a city in comparison to LA or NY.
