Do people really believe that moving DD is gonna be easy? Y'all really think that teams are lining up to snag him? Especially if you're looking to get a high pick in return while trying to avoid taking back a bad contracts.

Sometimes, sitting back until a good opportunity comes up is better than making a bad move just for the sake of making moves. Yes, that might mean that we have to watch DD play out his contract this year.
People were giving away picks this draft get out of here. To “just bc Sa doesn’t trade doesn’t mean they didn’t try!” Crowd. Ya - a little true.

But when SA is a major statistical outlier w/regard to trade frequency? more than “takes 2 to tango”

speaks to any of: dysfunction, lack of vision/creativity or ability to get things done

Spurs blew their best shot at trading ddr and LMA. It’s a level of incompetence that is so frustrating. Maybe they still can do something compe ive and competent still. But their chances took a big blow. And no, letting ddr and LMA walk is not ok. It’s bull .

Definitely. Trying to remember what the usual rebuttals are for when Devin doesn't crack 10mins a game until the Spurs are 10 games out of a playoff spot.

I've got to think they are going to try and package two of Murray, White, Walker, Gay, or Mills to get a vet to add to the LMA-DDR core.

Everyone thinking it's so easy to trade should get over themselves. There's 50 billion planets out there and Trump is still our president for two months, some things are more important than basketball.

Yep, somehow other NBA teams seem to find a way to make trades when they need too but its always the same excuse for the Spurs FO

Would be happy with any of those at 41, tbh.

On the bright side, Pop is obviously no spring chicken. We just gotta hope that this is his last year. Hes been one of the worst coaches in the league now for a few years and he's signed off on some of the most embarrassing moves in NBA history.

Him and the dark cloud he's cast over the entire franchise should be lifted soon. Just gotta stay hopeful, Spurs fans!

You really think teams would've taken DD and given up a high pick without wanting one off KJ or LW in return as well? Because that's what I'd demand as a GM of other team.

And we would've had to take on a big contract in return.

With Vassell at 11, that keep the door open for a point guard or center.

So I can expand it a bit too...

Theo Maledon, Desmond Bane, Jaden McDaniels, Isaiah Joe, Robert Woodard II, Grant Riller, Xavier Tillman, Killian Tillie, Tyrell Terry, Malachi Flynn and Nico Mannion

Guys I want with the 41st pick. Mason Jones is the one I really want but we're too stacked with shooting guards already...ugh.

Seeing as the Spurs got bent over the last times they made a trade, it’s probably a good thing nothing materialized.
