I'd say that Detroit game is going to be more of a statement game. I'm not big on statement games in December either though.
If the team was 100% healthy, then yeah I could go for this.It will be interesting to see how they come out against the Knicks tomorrow. I don't believe in "statement" games in December, but it's a "gut check" game to me
But once again, this team was scrambling with lineups tonight.
This would bother me alot more, if Ginobili was playing.
Im slightly dissapointed in how Horry is playing though.

Yeah but he did his best.
Of course it aint, hes a little older, and he was taught in a system, defense was a way to pass the time twiddling your thumbs waiting for the offensive sets.Finley's D isn't anywhere near Manu's
He came from ALLAS. That should help you.
If he could start to play D like Barry has started to FINALLY this year, ill be happy.
But it takes time to beat into a player's head whos always been offense offense offense, that D is almost or more important.
Timmy was great
Healthy or not, I think it's a gutcheck game. Remember last year in Golden State when Tim and Manu were out? That was a gutcheck game and Tony/The Spurs came thru. I think that needs to happen tomorrow just for the psychological factor of not losing three in a row.
don't say that, you'll jinx them. I'll be pissed if they they don't beat detroit
From the "Ask the Coach Segment" I don't think that Tony shot was especially drawn up. Coach Newman said the objective was to get the last possession . From what I gathered the ball was in Tony's hand and it was up to him to find the best shot.
I think that shot was badly done by Tony. But there never should have been a game to save.
That was a heck of a past by Kukoc. Rasho missed the deflection but he was in a precarious position- a foul call would have sent Bogut to the line and the outcome may very well have been the same.
Unfortunate loss all around. But these things happen. Next!

It was exactly like i said.
Pop looked at Tony and said "win the game"
he took a bad shot.
He won games last year.
It happens. Its life, happens.
We move on.
Focus on the Knicks.
I have to believe that they drew up something in the huddle.
I'll still wait for judgement to see if Pop/Ludden/someone says it.
Either way, the game wasn't lost because of that last shot. It was lost because Mo Williams went off and a variety of other things.
Oh well.
More basketball tomorrow.
smiley faceI have to believe that they drew up something in the huddle.
dinner menu on the plane
ugly face of the slick haired ref who fouled Duncan out?
All of the above??
It is a big clipboard.
Next VBookie;
Will the Spurs beat the Knicks?
wtf was horry doin standin with his back towards the in-game passer, shouldnt he be in the paint, anyway im done for tonite and not goin to worry about the knicks game since we are goin to lose it anyway.
Way to hang in there.not goin to worry about the knicks game since we are goin to lose it anyway.
What, no smart ass "Kidd wouldve made that three" comments?
I don't like you
lol
susinct and to the point.
Grammar police, buzz off, im not using the dictionary no matter WHAT you want.
just like to point out once again that rasho is GARBAGE. i don't ever want to hear about how rasho's defense is better than nazr's. rasho has no place starting on this team.
hey Marcus, Kori and TiMVP where the is your boy Nick Van Exel???
4-11 in 21 mins tonight
0-5 in 12 mins against NOK
1-3 in 10 mins against Sac
1-6 in 12 mins against Minni
old and washed up
I said it before I'll say it again Nick needs to be saved for the playoffs
free Beno...at least he isnt over the hill
I can stand the losses but I cant stand the repeats of playing over the hill players like in 2001 and 2002 Terry Porter all over again
you were willing to quit on the Spurs during the finals last year. I am pissed that Pop is delaying Beno's progress in favor of playing a washed up NVE. I dont give a about losses in Dec, but NVE sucks ass and Beno's development is getting stunted becuase Pop is again playing old ass players. It kinda remindes me of Pop staying with Terry Porter and costing us at least a game in the 2001 WCFs
And played Porter instead of what young player in 01?
and what does me willing to quit on the Spurs have to do with NVE?
Bring it or stay on the porch puppy.
Instead of playing the younger players and saving Porter for the playoffs numbnuts...like what he does with the best players on the team for the last 3 years. It seems like Pop wants to resort to the Pop of 2001 and 2002 for some weird reason. Why is it so important that people dont want Beno to build on what he did last season? Can you really believe the bull press that Beno sucked in the playoffs last season? Go back to the video idiots, Beno played great against Denver, Seattle and Phoenix, so he got beat up a little against the Pistons, so the what. The Spurs dont play the Pistons every ing night.
If Beno really sucked dont you think the Spurs would have traded his ass. You assholes are such ESPN ball suckers. Always going for the ESPN highlights from 10 years ago instead of watching what is really in front of your eyes.
The Spurs won a championship with Beno at the back up point guard and havent won with NVE, but some act like NVE should be the starting PG, you. Why are you so against developing the YOUNG talent, it seems to have worked pretty good for the Spurs so far

Im speachless at the level of stupidity this person has displayed.
does anyone really give a about your opinion quitter
I guess you agree that the Spurs should not develop Beno...I guess thats what youre really saying. While I dont believe it could hurt the Spurs (to develop Beno) I do believe it hurts the Spurs to play older washed up PG in NVE
