I'd say that Detroit game is going to be more of a statement game. I'm not big on statement games in December either though.
If the team was 100% healthy, then yeah I could go for this.It will be interesting to see how they come out against the Knicks tomorrow. I don't believe in "statement" games in December, but it's a "gut check" game to me
But once again, this team was scrambling with lineups tonight.

Healthy or not, I think it's a gutcheck game. Remember last year in Golden State when Tim and Manu were out? That was a gutcheck game and Tony/The Spurs came thru. I think that needs to happen tomorrow just for the psychological factor of not losing three in a row.

From the "Ask the Coach Segment" I don't think that Tony shot was especially drawn up. Coach Newman said the objective was to get the last possession . From what I gathered the ball was in Tony's hand and it was up to him to find the best shot.
I think that shot was badly done by Tony. But there never should have been a game to save.
That was a heck of a past by Kukoc. Rasho missed the deflection but he was in a precarious position- a foul call would have sent Bogut to the line and the outcome may very well have been the same.

you were willing to quit on the Spurs during the finals last year. I am pissed that Pop is delaying Beno's progress in favor of playing a washed up NVE. I dont give a about losses in Dec, but NVE sucks ass and Beno's development is getting stunted becuase Pop is again playing old ass players. The Spurs won a championship with Beno at the back up point guard and havent won with NVE, but some act like NVE should be the starting PG, you. Why are you so against developing the YOUNG talent, it seems to have worked pretty good for the Spurs so far

I guess you agree that the Spurs should not develop Beno...I guess thats what youre really saying. While I dont believe it could hurt the Spurs (to develop Beno) I do believe it hurts the Spurs to play older washed up PG in NVE
