When do they plan on doing this buying? And please dont answer "when the price drops" because that isnt happening until 2009 according to Sony.

What games have you been playing on the PS3 lately?
I hope you know the poster talking about DMC4, Final Fantasy and GTA was refferring to the rumored moves of those les to xbox...
I was all set on buying a PS3, because I just have an itch that I have to scratch when it comes to gettin a console at launch. But with the lack of les, I couldn't justify buying it when it would just take up space in the entertainment center.
They have almost NO good games out with the exception of Resistance Fall of Man and now Elder Scrolls, PS3 is just way behind right now and when PS2 support fades, Sony's gaming branch is going to find itself in trouble
Since companies(MS/Sony) claim to lose so much money on the consoles, I wish they'd let all companies make consoles that could play all games. Kinda like how I can go out an buy a DVD and any DVD player regardless if its a Magnavox, Sony or Zenith will play it. That way, I'd have one player that would play Halo 3, Resistance, Super Mario part 12 or whatever.
Ill be gettin one of these elites when it comes out. I already have a 360 but ill probably dish it out to a brother or something. Yes Devil May Cry 4 IS coming to 360.

I have a PS3. Got it back in December before Christmas. Fall of Man was the main reason I bought it and my bro bought Fight Night. The last PS3 game I played on it was Fall of Man and that was back on January 3rd when I completed the game. It's sad that there aren't any decent games out for it yet. It seems to always take a year or two to really see the potential and the developers figure out how to create a decent game.
Have fun playing Resistane and uhh, well have fun playing Resistance.
I hope PS3 makes it, and doesn't end up like PSP. Sony needs to scrap that ing blu-ray drive in its PS3s, and pray this christmas is good to them.
PS3 can't upscale, and no one writes their games to render in 1080p. Is the PS3's framebuffer even big enough to support two 1080p frames, much less a triple buffer in 1080p?
Having the HD DVD add on is a smart move by Microsoft and even smarter by not including it into the Black 360. It gives people an option if they really want it. As for Sony they just went ahead and inserted a Blu-Ray player in the PS3. What if Blu-Ray fails and HD DVD becomes the best seller? Sony looks bad and Microsoft looks good. MS has already said if it happens the other way they would consider having a Blu-Ray add on.
Does anyone know what the sales look like for these formats?

I hope the PS3 starts putting up a fight, because with no compe ion, Microsoft has no reason to improve. It's way to early to tell if MS has won the war, but unless PS3 starts expanding it's library, it's over. I find it amazing that MS has said that if the BluRay is the winner in the media dept that they'll make a BluRay player. I'd like to see Sony make a HD-DVD player if the opposite happens. Then again, Sony did make VHS players.
I agree with DarkReign that it's too early to tell who's one we're not even a year since it has gotten into full swing. I thought that the PS3 was going to help secure Blu-Ray as the format of the future. But bad moves by Sony with their library has f'd that up.
Other than FF13 and Metal Gear 4 there isn't much that I want to play on a PS3. Especially since they lost the rights to Assassins Creed and won't have some of the games Xbox will (Army of Two being one of them).
The one thing I will give Sony is (from my understanding, I don't know the specs) their machine is much more powerful than the 360 and the Wii doesn't even come close. So the future for them as far as graphics and such are concerned is bright, but they better do something because their library sucks right now and 2 games that I really want to play isn't enough to make me s out $600
^Yeah, but the problem with the ps3 having more powerful graphics capabilities is that so many developers are making cross-platform games. For that reason I don't think you'll see developers making a game that looks SO much better on the ps3 than on the xbox, it takes too much time and man hours to justify the cost. They will make a game that is tailored to next-gen consoles, and it will look beautiful and have great gameplay (hopefully), but I don't see them putting in all kinds of extra development time just so one system's games will look that much better than another system's games.
Just my opinion.

I dont see the logic in this, as it is theres no reason for them to upgrade to a bigger hard drive right now because there isnt anything available to probably even fill up the space on their 20gb model, let alone the 60
microsoft ing blows in every imagineable way, and i would rather play my ps2 games until 2020 than sell out and buy a ing microsoft platform
