I just don't get the slow start thing. It was like a ing replay of game 7 last year.
Who would want to pay $60.00 for a ticket to watch a half ass effort by the Spurs?
I just don't get the slow start thing. It was like a ing replay of game 7 last year.
this just proves that these two teams are the 2 best teams in the West. they not only split the first two games 1-1, but each on the other team's floor
Bonner didn't play all game. He had ice water in his veins. Finley definitely got fouled
Oh, and let's hear it for our starting backcourt who combined for 3 ast and 10 to.
Way to show up.
Yup. I called it early this game. Spurs lost because they decided not to show up until the 2nd quarter and dug themselves into a 14pt hole. If they don't do that, they win by a comfortable margin. We shouldn't be lamenting last minute calls, we should be wondering why our guys weren't prepared to play a full 48 minutes.
Superior coaching--Pop must have watched Mack Brown's coaching ??????
That would have been real ticky tack to call a foul on Finley's shot. I wish Parker would have put up that three from the baseline when the defense wasn't ready for it.
Good game Spurs were lucky to be in it since they played so ty in the first half. Neither team played great tonight, i mean Tony was average, Manu was bad and then he got hurt, Howard was average and Terry was average both Timmy and Dirk were great. To many TO in the 4th qtr by the Spurs they could have won but they really beat themselves late in the game.
Agree.
This is the first time in years that we haven't been virtually invulnerable at home.
Oh well.
AGREED! Tim missed 6 free throws and we lose by 3.
Finley got nailed, the ticky tack was the foul on Duncan, i think that was a make up call.
I saw Manu fall on his ass, but I didn't hear the prognosis. He obviously didn't play for the rest of the game. What's the report?
I've been saying it since last yr. Horry sucks and should not be used anymore.
It's that time of history where we change from home-court advantage to road-court advantage.
Yeah and he had 13 pts in the 4th qtr and he hit 3 in a row when nobody thought he would, Timmy played a great game.
Is Mack Brown now going to replace POP
I know I'd rather have seen Elson or Bonner in place of Horry tonight.
The Spurs need to bring it from the start and quite playing from behind all the time.
I thought the game 7 loss would have motivated them enough to play against the Mavs but it's the Mavs who come fired up.
I can't believe we only loss by 3 with Manu stinking it up and Parker only showing up too late. Finley and Horry need to get it together or let guys like Elson and Bonner play.
Let's not make excuses....they lost to the Mavs tonight. The Spurs didn't come through when they needed to...plus losing at home AGAIN wasn't quite helpful. They simply lost.
I wonder if free throws would have helped them like they ALWAYS should in close games from the get go. HMMMmmmmm...I only wonder
I never want to see that lineup on the floor again. That was absolutely pathetic.
They really are evenly matched, i just can't take losing to these guys in the playoffs again, i will go ape if that happens.
I agree - Timmy played a great game. I just used him for an example because the announcers said he was 6 for 12 just before he hit those last three. Other players missed some also.
But the biggest thing, imho, was the absolutely stupid turnovers and the inability to convert the Mavs to's into points. Oh, that and the fact that the starting line-up was still at home eating turkey (mentally) when the game started!![]()
Free throws and defending the 3. I would rather we lose than to win and let these go downhill.
