But for next year in actual games:

Who is our QB? It's kinda important.
Who is our backup RB to Warren?
Is Warren going even going to last a season?
Is Warren going to lose speed via the injury? Quickness was his liability.
Is Porter good enough to help?
Having Carter commit is great, but expecting immediate contributions...
Our defense. Is it really likely we can handle the Big 12 without some really bad bad games? It's not like the Big 12 was really good. Maybe we are more organized, but will it matter? Depth is required, playing 70-90 downs on D is exhausting. We could not handle mobile QBs who broke out.

I don't see this automatic 10 win season that will lead to an avalanche of recruits.

A longshot, at best. That kid and his family's reasons for picking Stanford go way beyond the HC. Damn sure would be nice, though.

OrangeBloods reported earlier today that 2019 QB Roschon Johnson of Port Neches-Groves was offered, but it's not true at this time.

He is, however, a favorite in his class to receive a UT offer along with QB Grant Gunnell of Houston St. Pius X.

The new OC and RBs coach are in place, but they won't become official until they can leave their current jobs.

Quotes from TE Reese Leitao of Tulsa, OK after de-committing from Nebraska (Rivals):

“I talked to them (Nebraska) and let them know I just wanted to make sure my options were open," Leitao said. "But, they are still a consideration of mine."

“My first official visit will be to LSU Jan. 13,” he said. “I am just going in to increase those relationships with the coaching staff, just check it out and learn a lot more. I want to go see what the tradition is all about because I know they have a really rich tradition. It’s a big school, a big campus and they seem to care about their football a lot.”

“TCU, I liked my visit there. My parents were also impressed with them as well,” Leitao said. “It is at the defensive position, so it gave me a chance to look at things on the other side of the ball. I was impressed with speed on their defense and I could come in and showcase my athleticism off the edge, so I was intrigued by that.”

“I really liked the atmosphere when I was (at Texas),” Leitao said. “It was good to see Coach (Tom) Herman again and that whole staff that was at Houston. Everything checked out, I was very impressed and my parents were impressed.”

“Those teams really are my focus right now,” Leitao said. “Ole Miss I have been recruited by and a little bit by Auburn too, but I don’t know if I’ll be taking official visits there.”
