Trump’s clueless generals: No one should be impressed by the military minds backing The Donald

A rather formidable number of foreign policy and national security experts from both parties have endorsed Clinton over Trump including some high-ranking members of the military. But Trump has now pulled together a list of more than 80 retired senior military officers who would rather have an inexperienced demagogue for commander in chief than Hillary Clinton.

The list was put together by his No. 1 fan General Michael Flynn whose most memorable moment in the campaign was his rousing speech at the RNC which he capped by leading the bloodthirsty crowd in chants of “lock her up, lock her up!” Although Trump has proudly proclaimed that he knows more about ISIS than the generals do, Flynn is, by all accounts, Trump’s foremost national security adviser which is somewhat concerning since he’s teamed up with one of the most hysterical neoconservative writers in the country, Michael Ledeen, on a book about Islamic terrorism. (Ledeen’s most memorable essay during the run up to the Iraq war was a speculative piece that France and Germany were literally in cahoots with al Qaeda.)

this incoherent analysis which he published in an op-ed for the New York Post:

We’re in a global war, facing an enemy alliance that runs from Pyongyang, North Korea, to Havana, Cuba, and Caracas, Venezuela. Along the way, the alliance picks up radical Muslim countries and organizations such as Iran, al Qaeda, the Taliban and Islamic State.

That’s a formidable coalition, and nobody should be shocked to discover that we are losing the war.

Flynn was fired as head of the Defense Intelligence Agency for his radical views and he retired from the military.

Another name on Trump’s list that leaps out is General Jerry Boykin, last heard from claiming that the U.S. is leading a holy war of Christians vs Muslims and being blasted by the Pentagon for writing a book full of classified information.

The list of weirdness from this fellow, now an executive with the family Research Council is a mile long.

My personal favorite is his contention that “Jesus, who was a real “man’s man,” will return to earth carrying an AR-15.”

The rest of the signers may not be quite this radical, but simply supporting Donald Trump puts them in the “Strangelove” category of wacko generals at this point. The good news is that compared to Mitt Romney, who had more than 500 on his list, Trump got a rather pathetic turnout.

He shared his deep knowledge of the complex dynamics in the middle east:

I always say Iraq and Iran were very similar militarily. They’d fight, fight, fight and then they’d rest. They’d fight fight fight. And then Saddam would do the gas. And somebody else would do something else. And they’d rest.

When asked about the threat of cyber-terrorism he had this to say:

You know cyber is becoming so big today. It’s becoming something that a number of years ago, a short number of years ago wasn’t even a word, Now the cyber is so big. You know you look at what they’re doing with the Internet, how they’re taking recruiting people through the Internet. And part of it is the psychology because so many people think they’re winning. And you know there’s a whole big thing. Even today’s psychology, where CNN came out with a big poll, their big poll came out today that Trumps is winning. It’s good psychology.

The fact that 88 generals actually believe the country is safer in this man’s hands than the experienced, qualified woman is almost more disturbing than the man himself. Almost.

Ohio’s top Republican political operatives refuse to help Trump’s campaign

Maybe Donald Trump shouldn’t have picked such a public fight with Ohio Gov. John Kasich.

During an interview with WBUR’s On Point Radio on Tuesday, Cleveland Plain Dealer chief political reporter Henry Gomez said that many top Republican operatives in Ohio are refusing to help out Donald Trump’s campaign.

“John Kasich controls the Republican Party machine in Ohio, and that shouldn’t be understated for what that means,” Gomez explained.

“It means that most of the top political operatives in the state are unwilling to work for Donald Trump’s campaign, or work in coordination with it in anyway.”

Trump supporter whines about discrimination after bakery refuses to make ‘Trump 2016’ cake

Louisiana news station KSLA reports that 17-year-old Trump supporter McKenzie Gill went to her local Albertsons grocery store this week hoping to get a birthday cake that had “Trump 2016” written on it. The cake was intended to celebrate both her 18th birthday and the fact that she’s going to be voting for Trump this fall.

However, the woman behind the counter told her that while she would make a cake with an American flag design, she wouldn’t write “Trump 2016” on it.

“The woman behind the cake counter just refused to make me a birthday cake because I wanted ‘Trump 2016’ on it,” Gill vented in a
Facebook post after the incident went down. “Did that really just happen?”

She and her mother took her business elsewhere, and they issued a formal complaint to Albertsons. The grocery store apologized to the family and explained that its employee at the bakery believed that writing “Trump 2016” on the cake would violate the store’s policy of not using copyrighted phrases on its pastries.

So, boutons, who's lying and deceiving whom? Hillary and the Bernie fans/the Dems who think they're voting for a true Democrat or Trump who the Republican establishment hates/republicans who hear every thought that enters his head and comes out his mouth?

Crooked Hillary? How about Tricky Trash?

Trash an Old Hand at Pay-to-Play Politics in New York

In the 1980s, Mr. Trump was compelled to testify under oath before New York State officials after

he directed tens of thousands of dollars to the president of the New York City Council through myriad subsidiary companies to evade contribution limits.

    In the 1990s, the

Federal Election Commission fined Mr. Trump

for exceeding the annual limit on campaign contributions by $47,050, the largest violation in a single year.

And in 2000, the New York State lobbying commission

    imposed a $250,000 fine for Mr. Trump’s

failing to disclose the full extent of his lobbying of state legislators.

Trash discredits his own talking points on tax returns

    “That last line –

‘Let her release her emails, and I’ll release my tax returns immediately’ – undermines the audit argument. It implies the audit isn’t the real excuse.”

Quite right. For months, Trump’s line has at least been relatively consistent:

he can’t release his tax returns like other candidates have done because of the alleged IRS audit.

Even if Trump wanted to err on the side of disclosure, the argument goes, it’d be irresponsible for him to disclose the do ents at such a sensitive time. His hands are tied. It’s not a realistic option.

Except last night, Trump effectively admitted that the entire excuse is a sham.

He’s prepared to release his tax returns “immediately” – audit or no audit

if Clinton gives up personal emails that were deleted years ago.

In other words, Trump realizes he has a choice and he’s decided to be the first major-party nominee since Watergate to hide his tax returns from public view. The audit, according to his own comments, is irrelevant.

Keep this in mind the next time Trump and his team roll out the excuse the candidate himself has now discredited.

Trash is actually pretty ing stupid, to go along with his overwhelming IGNORANCE of politicking and Washington's ways.

Donald Trump accidentally declares himself ineligible for the presidency

"Hillary and her top aides told the FBI and others related in the lawsuits that they couldn’t recall or remember -- can't remember anything!" Trump said. "By the way, if she really can't remember, she can't be president! She doesn't remember anything! She doesn't even remember whether or not she was instructed on how to use emails. 'Were you instructed on how to use?' 'I can't remember.'"

As part of The Post's research for our biography of the Republican nominee, we compiledhundreds of do ents from Trump's past. Among those were a number of depositions from a tiny portion of the thousands of lawsuits to which Trump has been a party over the years. And in those depositions? Constant assertions by Trump that he couldn't recall or didn't know the answers to questions offered him.

Asked if he attended one of the program's seminar in Florida, Trump says he did. When? Years ago.

    What year? Doesn't remember.

Who were the instructors? He didn't remember.

What did they talk about? "I can't remember specifically."

Was this Trump Ins ute, the Florida iteration of Trump University? He didn't know. Did he remember the format of the presentation?

    He didn't.

Pressed for any detail he remembered, Trump offered one: "The only detail, as I left, I was very impressed."

That's from one page of the 600 pages of testimony.

Here's me making a mockery out of your own analogy...

You can tell your kids you will hide and not tell them where.

Coming up with a plan doesn't mean you have to give all the details on how you will implement it. He failed.
