I certainly hope we sent over the entire Silver Dancers team and this delay is only due to an orgy.

And so are some parts of Queens/the Bronx, southside Chicago, and various other areas of larger cities. What's your point?
Awesome. Looks like you can scratch Orlando off the list of suitorsOne of Orlando's primary targets, Antonio McDyess, may no longer be available. The San Antonio Spurs are the front-runners to land the 34-year-old power forward, according to the San Antonio Express-News. The Spurs were able to sway McDyess by giving him the full mid-level exception, which is expected to be $5.2 million this season.
Smith said he had the authority to offer McDyess a similar deal, but he has made the decision to split up his remaining money because Orlando has just eight players under contract. The Magic traded three players (Courtney Lee, Tony Battie and Rafer Alston) for two (Vince Carter and Ryan Anderson) and lost free-agent forward Hedo Turkoglu, who will sign a five-year, $53 million free-agent deal with the Toronto Raptors.

It was a joke. No need to rep your city so hard![]()
Thanks.
I think we even went to Gunpoint Mall on the way outta town the next morning... that's right, we did because I needed to get a wad of cash ($600 IIRC)!
Yeah, if I'm ever in Houston again we'll check out the Heights, and I'll PM you for suggestions.![]()
wasn't there something of a condition placed by the Celtics upon Sheed - that he had 48 hours or so to accept the offer ?
Because if we don't get him, there's very little of value left and we have to get the best big that we can. So, that's why I think that we have to give him up to 48 hours to make a firm commitment and sign the papers, and after that proceed as if McDyess isn't coming aboard.
The good news is that this should enable us to know where we stand within 2 days (which is the whole point).
At this point you have to wonder if he will be announcing his retirement.
This is unbelievable.
Fair enough.
I take it you don't live in either. Be interesting to see how patient the team is regarding Antonio's decision.
Take the ing money Dice... and run with it!!!
SHYT I wish that was me then in his shoes if they were to do that there.
Dumars knows the numbers now. He can only offer McDyess so much.
McDyess already knows the lowest price he is willing to accept to stay in Detroit.
I would give him 24 hours after he meets with Dumars.
Then, I'd go after plan C.
timvp, thanks for all the updates.
Let's hope we hear something in the next day or two. The wait is killing me.
Ignoring and continuing on with the McDyess thread seems like a logical and mature option as well. Or you can and moan like your KBP on the rag.
Nice find!
That leaves only Cleveland as another suitor, and I'm sure they are focussed on Varejao... which means Dice's loyalty vs Dice's thirst for a ring and a decent paycheck. C'mon Dice, there's a possible ring on offer, and a chance to partner with Timmy D, you know SA is the way to go.
Patience is Key. I'm off to bed. Hopefully it will be official when I wake up. Probably more like tommorrow evening though.
I hear you. 1:30 AM here in the east coast and I gotta get up in 5 hours...
Better get some sleep and read the news tomorrow.
the race to witch mountain is on!
Have to wake up in a few hours for work, Damn, it's going to be a long day. I'm off...
Gotta love the news watch - although SA isn't the only city with dubious beat writers, since the guy says the MLE is expected to be around $5.2 mil when we already know it's $5.585 mil![]()
I don't know why I stay up either. Might as well get some sleep and hope for the best when I wake up in the morning.
bloggers ahead with more facts sooner compared to traditional journalists.
It's a new age.
I'm pretty sure the MLE this year is 5.8m.
Hopefully, Dice will remember how his former fellow Piston Ben Wallace fell of the face of the earth when he ended up in Cleveland.
Let that be a lesson, Dice.![]()
