Maybe it's just me, but this turn of events seemed fairly predictable somewhere around the mid-4th quarter on Sunday evening.

Chris Quinn isn't an NBA player, I don't know why so many people here defend him..

No, Quinn isn't going to lose you a game, but he has absolutely no potential upside either..he's a shooter that can't even shoot..he can't penetrate, he can't create for teammates, he can't create for himself..

Essentially, Quinn gives you a player that doesn't make many mistakes, because he doesn't try to make any plays(and when he does, he fails)..the Spurs are missing arguably their best player right now, they can't rely on a "steady" scrub like Quinn..

    thank you

I don't what idiots think that quinn is going to be good enough to run the point behind Hill for the next week or few.

" ohh he knows the system" who gives a .

He sucks all he can do is shoot spot up 3's and can't even do that.

He ran it fine when TP was out last year.

I think he's just low on confidence atm.
Sure.He lost confidence this year with the arrive of Gary Neal. It's time to adjust that.

But Manu will be the PG like he is a lot of time even with Tony on the court.Hill only has to carry the ball from his own court to Manu's hands.

Making a late run...suddenly we've outscored Memphis in this quarter

    EDIT: Never mind
The Spurs opened the window just a crack and then Quinn slammed it shut.

Spurs need to claim Charlie Sheen off of waivers. That guy wins everywhere he goes.

no not really. Quinn got 5 minutes in the first half and you go ape over it. I said he out-played Hill in the first half and you responded with "everyone outplayed hill". Well since Quinn is the only other PG on the team then he is essentially going to get some minutes and all you can respond with is Anderson should have got his minutes?

Grizz up by 19 with 4 minutes left and Mike Conley and Shane Battier trapping on Chris Quinn.

Memphis players Conely, Allen, Battier, Arthur and Randolph
Spurs players Quinn, Neal, Anderson, Novak and Blair

If you really want Manu to limp into the playoffs then start doing that.

    No you're clueless.

I don't care what Quinn did in the first half. He shouldn't be playing period.

What I mean by Anderson getting more minutes is by Manu and Neal sharing time at the back up PG spot over Quinn- which then would free up minutes at the 2 and 3 for Anderson.

Instead, Quinn got Anderson's potential minutes by playing back up PG--leaving Neal and Manu taking Anderson's potential minutes at the 2 and 3. Do you understand how playing Quinn effects Anderson's PT now?

I didn't mean for Anderson to play point.

    As I said, you're clueless.

Manu, Hill, Neal all can run point better than Quinn on both sides of the ball.

Quinn isn't even a "true" point guard. He's strictly an inefficient spot up shooter.
Spurs aren't going to start overplaying Manu therefore he isn't going to play the whole game especially with ball handling duties.

You have already agreed that George Hill was ineffective tonight and you said "everyone outplayed Hill"

Gary Neal running point probably isn't the smartest thing to do seeing that he hasn't run point before here.

All this adds up to Chris Quinn our 3rd string PG getting some minutes. If you think our 3rd string PG should be someone better then Quinn then that's fine, I agree but sitting behind your computer ing and moaning about why Quinn is in the game doesn't make much sense when we have no other PG's on the roster.

This was the most lifeless performance I've seen from this team in a long time. That 3rd quarter was beyond pathetic. Quin and Splitter are garbage players.

So you want to start running Manu as the backup point while Tony is out... You want him to limp into the playoffs? at saying Neal is a viable backup PG option, that's foolish. I get it just fine. Lets start overplaying Manu and make Neal the backup Point Guard.

This may be the dumbest series of posts I've ever seen. There's one point guard on the roster at the moment that's available to play.

PS he was a thousand times better than Hill.
