Loved that series. Pippen's defense was phenomenal. I love any kind of series where great defense is played. The Spurs/Pistons in '05 wasn't pretty either but that's one of my favorite Finals of all-time.
Kawhi is our only advantage. LMA turns into a scrub vs GSW.

Short N**** is terrible, he can't shoot, he turns it over whenever he tries to drive, and gives up myriad 3s on the other end...
Look, of course it's alarming that Spurs aren't able to score vs GS going into the 4th game of the season, however we have seen them generate good looks.
Good:
Spurs defense has hassled GS more than any other team - it's obvious. Spurs contested 30 of 33 GS shots and GS shot 9-30 on those shots. It's not a fluke.
I'm trying to find the GS contested numbers, but I bet it's not nearly as good despite SA shooting poorly. The shots will fall and Pop is experimenting like crazy right now too.
2 less field goals than Leonard on 8 less shots

It's hard to believe we have a spurs game and David West isn't the one hurting us on defense.When the warriors start attacking Mills, Popovich has got to bench him. Unless mills is just hitting everything. If his shot is off, there is no need to have him on the floor. He and danny green are the worst at making plays. and I don't know why Pop still has Green inbounding the ball. $10 millin a year got us a guy this season that can't hit open jumpers, keeps losing his man on defense from ball watching, and can't create plays. WTF

Also, the level of focus and effort is there. It's great to see. If shots were falling just a little bit better this would be an ass whopping on both ends. Even shooting 40% (which is terrible) would result in a double digit lead.
Spurs aren't scared of GS at all and you are seeing some of David West rubbing off on the team (which is a good thing). They are frustrated I bet, you can see it with how they are crashing the glass. Let's see if they can keep generating the looks. That's what's important especially because the defense has proven to be pretty effective against GS.
You can't explain such bad shooting from Kwahi (3-13) except for a reaction to pressure. Kwahi needs to relax and realize he can't force things. Let the game come to him instead of trying to show he's a superstar. Pop needs to calm him down.
I believe he will have a better second half.
