Think this is why manu came back?
that one is bad ass. Tim's cool as , just walking away like a cold-blooded mutha.
Can't believe its been 20 years. I can still remember the moment we won the lottery pick and now he"s retired. Wow how fast time goes by.
Going to wear my Duncan jersey to work tomorrow.
Well I guess the next thing to look forward to is his Hall of Fame induction.
Going to be odd seeing him sitting next to Robinson watching games.
Thanks for being a professianl and the greatest Power Foward of all time.
Sometimes someone puts it just right. And you, sir, just did.![]()
Oh, jeez, I actually hacked iced tea through my nose! Perfect!
What do you guys think regarding when they retire his jersey?
Bruce retired in 2009 and his jersey was retired in 2012 - I don't see them waiting that long for Timmy.
Retire it tomorrow.
OK, maybe not tomorrow, but they will not wait long to do it.
So will we see TD in the stands watching games like D-Rob? An assistant coach eventually?
Or will he go full Howard Hughes recluse and almost never be seen again?
This for me is like the hurt of 2013 at the time. Thanks TD for the memories, leadership and humility. There will never be another like you.
First nationally televised home game? Bruce wasn't quite the magnitude (no offense to the original number 12). How long did they wait on David? Anyone remember?
Related to that Kevin Pelton had an ESPN Insider article where he made the case for greatest of this generation among Timmy, Shaq, Kobe, KG and Dirk. Anyone read it? What was the order?
My order?
Tim
Shaq
KG
Kobe
Dirk
Worse, imo - it'll be very real come October and he's not on the court.
Man the Onion is not going to be the same...
They actually waited longer for The Admiral - retired in 2003 and jersey retired in 2007.
