]Didn't get to watch the game as NBALP ed up[/B] but apparently Kawhi shot it 32 times. Dude was going full KoMe mode out there? And they only won by like 5? And they're supposedly far and away the best team in the league? Playing at home/us on our first roadie of the year? Kawhi on extended rest? Seems like a decent showing from our guys.
You too? I'm in VA and it said that it was blacked out in my area, I don't live in Cali.

the Clippers are the favorite this year. Their best player was fully rested. And yes the Spurs roster is not that good. Superstars and even stars don’t want to play in SA, that’s the reality. Spurs fans have to realize that the team is as good as the players they get through the draft. I like the Spurs but if I was a young good player, I would not be attracted by San Antonio, it is kind of a city.
Agreed. Spurs just have to continue to develop their young guys White,Murray, etc and hope eventually they can become star players in the next few years. I mainly watched this game to see how White, Murray would perform. White looked great and Murray picked it up towards the end.

I think he'll get more action tomorrow night with Murray not playing
Wouldn't be shocked if LWIV started against GSW. Pop likes to keep his rotations in tact, even if they are nonsensical.

Pop's default grade should be an F as long as he refuses to play White-Murray together. Overplaying Belli and Wombat, even though it's a stupid argument, you can atleast argue that they are "experienced" shooters. WTF is his excuse for acting like there are only 48 minutes available for White and Murray combined? Who in their right ing mind would think that's smart? Who the even thinks "let me purposely keep two of my better players from ever playing together"? Mother er keeps letting the fact that he's the GOAT get to his head.

They were missing PG who would be by far the best player on SA. So no, not that encouraging considering all the flaws of the team were exposed:

Poor shooting from deep, inability to really threaten good teams offensively, so many liabilities on defense and a coach that refused to play optimal lineups anyways.

The guys fought (not LMA) mostly, but they are so clearly overmatched when it comes to talent and if Pop isn’t going to give them the best shot, it’s a big time uphill battle.

Wasn’t an awful performance but illuminated what most knew: SA is several tiers below what would be considered a legit team.

Same bull since 2017...stupid TO's, bricking FTs, dumb rotations and the highest paid players on the team disappearing. We also wasted the MLE on a guy getting as many minutes as I am...

Clippers is the better team, but imo after the minutes restriction on Murray, Spurs would be a different beast with both Murray and White able to close. I was expecting for Carroll to finally make an appearance. Who knows the story behind?

Tbh Spurs came out and competed well this game. Better than I thought they would. We lost to a better team and if they had Paul George, this likely would have been a blowout. Nothing Wrong with losing to a better team that has a superstar/Top-2 player in the world.

With that said, all Dridge, Rudy Gay, and Brynn Forbes all had by far the worst games of the season for them so far. If they Would’ve played even an average game for them, spurs would’ve had a very good chance to steal this one. Oh well. Onward and upward. Warriors tomorrow night in San Fran.
And if dejounte and white both play 30 mpg we may win

we’ll see how we fare later in the season

Tbh Spurs came out and competed hard this game. Better than I thought they would. We lost to a better team and if they had Paul George, this likely would have been a blowout. Nothing Wrong with losing to a better team that has a superstar/Top-2 player in the world, especially on the road.

Forgot to add: Leave Marco in LA. Seriously.

Lonnie clearly looks frustrated out there and on the bench. You can see it in his body language. He will either come out of this situation stronger or Pop is going to break him. There will be no middle ground.

To Pop's credit, Lonnie was reckless on offense and horrible on defense.

Why doesn't he ever say about the traffic cones that are shooting 35% and 20% from the field?

Paul George by himself was getting the 7th seed in the East. What has he won to say he's better than the best players on this team? He's a better defender by far but other than that he chokes just like our stars.

Pop might legit run Walker out of town tbh. It's getting to the point where someone needs to step in and take the reigns from Pop.

Spurs are at the very bottom of the league in 3 pointers made per game and 3 point attempts per game. We're averaging even less three point attempts per game than last year(when we were already the worst in the league). For all those people that were hopeful that we would see more three point shooting from Derozan or LMA, don't bet on it.

Marco and Lamarcus had far worse games and those guys are supposed to be our Veteran leaders. One of them is a Max player. Call those guys out, not a 20 year-old 2nd year Player. Lonnie’s not going to want to re-sign in San Antonio if his head coach is calling him “horrible.” There’s an art this coaching thing and Pop seems to be losing that.

Pretty good summary. The Spurs don't compete if PG is healthy and playing. But they could have won this game tonight if Pop had taken the night off. I don't like to second guess a HOF coach, but I'm still scratching my head over some of his decisions tonight.

WTF do you think is going on with Aldridge? Even on a bad night he shouldn't look this bad. This is a guy who thinks he should be considered for the AS team? That was an embarrassing performance.
