You're right. I'm clueless. Getting Jamison and Walker a few seasons ago was a genius move by Cuban. I concede to your NBA knowledge of team loyalty.
I'm confused. How does that have anything to do with team loyalty to a franchise player like Duncan? You're not making a point...at least not the original one you tried to make.

I guess, what you're saying, is loyalty to all players?? So, we never can trade or release anyone? Hmmm....I guess no owners are loyal then. If you're talking about franchise players, which I thought we were, we have one finally in Dirk...and I believe we will be keeping him around. He is the only franchise player I'd say we have had since Cuban became owner. So, what was your point again? Cuban got the extension done pretty quickly to keep him here.

Mavericks owner Mark Cuban, who has made fun of San Antonio's River Walk in the past, donned a shirt early in Friday's game that read: "I went to the San Antonio River Walk and all I got was a rash." But later on he was sporting a different one.

Been amused by this thread all night long. Great game, Mavs squeeked it out at the end like they've been able to since Nellie left. But this comment has to be the stupidest thing I've read in a long time. WTF should he have to play in the paint? You guys have noone to guard him in or out of the paint.
Stupid or not, Dirk is still one of the most overrated players in league. One of the few times he went to the paint, Tim slapped his away. If Tim had players 6-7 guarding him he would score 50+. Spurs need to get Elson back to help against Irk and they'll be fine against Dallas.

Spurs shooting went cold in the second half just like the last few games.

Irk's never getting a ring and will always be rememberd as Noringsky.

You just wait...the second your lil Nazi gets a little older and slower, Cuban will be sending him to the crematorium/Knicks.

Chip Dog is a basketball genius. Didn't you know? Through all 11 of his posts I get the understanding that no one can match wits with the great Chip Dog. Oh, and Chippy, your Nazi has been reported to the mods. I know you're new and stuff, but there was plenty of that during the playoff run last year. You'll get yours.

Again, here's a reminder of what the Nazis did to other human beings.

You can rip me for liking Dane Cook and the Mavs all you want. But what you DON'T do is run your ing mouth and call someone a Nazi just because he/she is German. That's just ignorant.

Off to do some drinking. Wallow even deeper in the pity that is your team aging and being passed up for good.

You can't get better with out making a few trades. If you look at other threads on this board, your fellow Spurs fans are wanting to gut the team.

Mavs have a great team and they are better than the Spurs are right now. I think Dirk can get at least 1 ring but will he get 3 like Timmy, i say no and i think Tim can get at least one more before he is done.

Spurs lost 3 in a row…PRETTY MUCH DONE FOR THE SEASON!!! (Spurs 85-90 Dallas - WHAT CAN YOU SAY???? Dallas played B2B Games and sneer at the Spurs again…They slept in the 1st half to comeback in the second and pick up the tempo to kill the Spurs…WE ARE DONE unless some miracle takes palce! PATHETIC! LOST!

First to start with Popovich: WHY PLAYING HORRY for so MANY minutes??? After Oberto went 7 of 7 in the first half, Popovich should’ve started him in the second, but he kept him on the bench and played Horry…BIG MISTAKE. Horry is finished with the NBA – the Spurs MUST release him – I said that so many times before – he is just disastrous…Same said about the “Goose Egg” – Finley – he is finished with the NBA as well…

Tim struggled also as he never lead the team in the 2nd half – just 2 pts, BIG STRUGGLE and missed so many FTs – he wasn’t even close to his Playoffs “magic” last year against the Mavs…He fumbled the ball in the most important part of the game, played with NO ENERGY (after 1 day rest vs. Dallas B2B game schedule???)…Tony got lost as well after picking up a foul trouble – he NEVER penetrated deep into the Mavs defense…weak game for him too…he is got a LOT TO LEARN still on how to beat the Mavs…

Bowen, Barry and Beno surprisingly played weak as well – the Spurs basically have NO BENCH right now – they get ZERO production – if you take Oberto’s points away today, you would find the bench to have less than 5 pts – PATHETIC…

Manu Ginobili is the only player right now (plus somewhat Tony Parker) who deserves credit as being a Spurs and fighting like a Spur…Tim Duncan was a huge disappointment again…

The Mavs are 1 Class above the Spurs currently as they played with less than 50% for 2 ½ quarters and still beat us…Had they picked it up (being fresh without playing B2B game schedule) they would’ve won by 20…

If the Spurs want to go to the BIG FINAL this year they have to win Game 7 in Dallas, something, I don't see how would happen with those players - we are pretty much DONE FELLOWS as I said earlier in the season ( WHY I DIDN'T LISTEN TO MYSELF NOT TO SPEND $179 FOR the NBA PASS???!!!)

In the past few years, Popovich dragged this team into the ground, slowly and surely…WITH NO VALUABLE TRADES, NO VALUABLE PICK UPS and draft picks in the last few years, the SPURS HAVE ZERO CHANCE TO WIN A LE…We are going to have a long summer this year – and the Spurs MUST GET RID OF THE FOLLOWING: Horry, Finley, Vaughn, Beno, Williams, etc. and acquire young and athletic players….THE SOLE BLAME FOR THE WHOLE DISASTER, WITHOUT A DOUBT, is Gregg POPOVICH, who didn’t acquire the right personnel this year, neither drafted anyone valuable in the last few years - the Spurs didn’t rebuild and found themselves in trouble this year – a result of a failed and ugly policy by an irresponsible coach and a manager, who forgot the basic rules in the NBA…too bad for Manu’s talent who doesn’t deserve this…

    GO SPURS!!!

    "Tim slapped his away."

Dirk did it to Tim in crunch time.
    Another killer TO for Tim.
Seemed like a great defensive move by Dirk.
Since when can Dirk guard Tim?
Since Tim either fell of the cliff of competence, or quit playing with all his ability, what's left of it.

Dirk got 34 pts, and 8 RBs as perimeter player (in 2 more minutes).
Tm got 18 pts, and only 7 RBs as interior player.

If your depending on Elson to stop DIRK your a idiot!
The coach drew up a good play, and the Spurs didn't execute.

DIRK OVERRATED! Why don't ask Timmy D how many times Dirk blew by his ass.
No one said Elson would stop Dirk but his length will help. It would be nice to see Dirk try to defend Tim but he's too busy shooting freethrows over Tony Parker.

English is not your strong suit. Is it "Your a idiot" or "You're an idiot"?

Isn't there an age limit on this board?

Your stupidity is getting worse. Most of the other times he went to the paint, he scored a layup or MADE his throws. (Listening, Duncan?)

And why is it that 6-7 guys are guarding him? Cuz if your beloved TD guarded him he would light him up for about 50 every time.

AS far as rebounding, he's averaging over 10 boards a game save the couple of games he left in the first quarter. Not bad for a guy who doesn't play in the paint "where guys his size are supposed to play".

    Defense? OK, he's mediocre...

Tim is playing 75-80% right now. He took half the shots Dirk did. Maybe he's got the Shaq disease right now...play half speed until the playoffs. He definitely needs to step it up.

What? Since when? That was the Spurs big calling card for the season "Tim is healthy". What happened?

And FYI, Dirk coming of the sinus infection and having a gimppy ankle mean anything to you?

Also, Duncan go way more touches than Dirk. Dirk just had the sack to take the shots and not pass them up.

Wow. Haven't been on this site much year, but have been a loyal Spurs fan on here through the years. But, it seems to have become the Dallas Mav's fan site. I saw it coming at the end of last season, but it has truly come to be now. So, being a true Spurs fan, I'll pop in here now and then to see if we have taken back the Alamo. Until then, GO SPURS GO

50 against Tim, now that's stupidity x 2. Dirk's an elbow shooter, shooting over pg and shooting guards and can't defend. Overrated. Getting 36 against Oberto and TP is what saved dallas tonight.

Not Dirk's fault your dumbass coach had those two guarding Dirk. Put Timmy on Dirk and he still scores 36 and fouls Duncan out of the game. There is a reason Duncan doesn't guard Nowitzki, he can't. If he did he would just get into foul trouble and hurt the team even worse.

Never said Tim wasn't healthy. Dirk having a sack is a joke. It's much easier to double/triple Tim in the paint than Dirk away from the basket. Duncan did what he was supposed to do when that happens...pass the ball to a shooter which in the 2nd half tonight was a bunch of cold shooters.
