Tim and Manu are 6 for 20.

We're down by 8 pts actually.
finley, horry or barry need to step up
Tim Duncan is supposed to be the best player in the league, or damn close to it. He better start acting like it in the second half, whether he gets hammered or not.
I am watching, and Duncan is getting blocked every damn time (whether he is getting hit doesn't mean at this point, if he can't make baskets and get more aggressive in the second half). Actually screw just getting aggressive, put the ball in the hole often and efficiently. And play good defense. So far he really hasn't done any of that.
Honestly, I think we can all agree that Tim really needs to play with more intensity. The Nugs, unfortunately, are not a great team (basketball IQ wise) but they are physical and tenacious. If Duncan is truly the leader of this team (by example, as he always says) then he will figure out a way to win this game. Going 7 with the Nuggets can only be disastrous for a matchup with the Suns and the WCF.
Time to sack up, indeed.
Duncan needs to put either Camby or Nene on their ass. Then if the ref gets pissy about it, say "hey, if you aren't going to call it at the other end..."
Sometimes you gotta nut up to prove a point. Right now Duncan isn't doing anything to garner any respect from the officials.
Shut the up idiot. Duncan pulling the string on 3 foot jumpers and not dunking point blank at the rim is NOT because he's getting hammered. He's playing like a PUSSY..period!! Camby obviously intimidates his ass and he throws up weak every single time he goes up against him.
People, Duncan has not been mugged except for that one Camby "block". Other than that? He's played piss poor against physical defense. He needs to quit being a little and quit this Dirk impression he's pulling off quite well. Not to mention he has played little to NO defense. Duncan is better than that entire frontcourt put together. Camby has 12 ing rebounds at the half, while Duncan has a measley 4. Like I said, Parker, Ginobili, and Bowen are the only reasons we are down 8. Duncan needs to man up and look like the HOF player he is. If he doesn't, we aren't going to win. So you can already pencil in a nailbiter for Game 5 if Duncan does NOT step up.
LMAO @ P<S with the SJax avatar.
You are a complete idiot. He's going to the front of the rim, getting boards and playing good team defense. He turned the ball over diving for a terrible pass from Manu and he gave up a dunk because Finley stepped away from the guy with the ball.
Honestly i am believing this revenge they talked about. Are you watching Stern this is ing bull if they let him get mugged in that 2nd half like the first and if they lose i hope Pop goes off about it.
Not watching the game because I'm at work but from what I can see in the box scores the Nuggets front 5 are all contributing and playing at a high level while the Spurs are failing to "match their energy" (Parker). Only being down 8 to a more than likely rabid crowd isn't too disconcerning. Judging by the scores the game is being played at the Spur's pace.
By the way, Derek Fisher is a tool.
For some reason I just don't want Elson in the game. He won't make open jump shots, nor play good defense. That Finley funneling Melo to the tomahawk dunk was pathetic, and I get the feeling it was more Elson's fault then Finley's. This always seems to happen with Elson.
Spurs 41% vs 55%. gonna lose like that.
Losing RB, too, 17 -24.

Way to go Denver way to go!!!!! Up 8 and if they keep this up Spurs will be in a dog fight themselves tied at 2-2 and this will somewhat justify our loss yesterday!!
So if we play a game of basketball, and I take a crowbar to your knees and tell you to "be more aggressive" afterwards, you're going to agree with me, right?
Wow. You obviously have played a ton of ball if you think it's that simple. Duncan got on a roll and they started annihilating him with physicality. If the refs are letting the game go to see who's stronger physically, Duncan will lose.
NuggetFan, all of Melo's fouls were legit.
Are you watching the game or are you talking out of your ass?
2 ways the Spurs win this game. If they continue playing the same way then they can win by getting hot from the outside. If those 3s start falling then they'll definetly take control of the game.
However, the better approach would be to start taking it to the rim and trying to get more scores down low. It would both slow the game down a bit and allow them to get to the free throw line more. The officiating hasn't been great, but really its nothing that you don't see at some point in the playoffs. You just have to play through it.
To the Spurs credit - they've ed very little about the refs and to the refs in this series. They are losing sight of that a bit this game, but not really all that much. Its just that we're so used to seeing them complain that they already have that rep and have very little leeway inregards to whining.
2nd half objectives....Crash the boards and DRIVE THE EFFIN LANE.
And Oberto just seems to always make the simple play, and the scrappy hustle plays. I just rather have Oberto than Elson at this point. No question about it.
Has the game started yet?
